Help I Am Getting Married! What Do I Do Now?

ONE OF THE VERY FIRST things the couple usually does after they have made the decision we are going to get married is to search out a venue. They approach the venue and secure a date and time and of course put down that non-refundable deposit.

Then they try to find an officiant that can accommodate the date and venue they are locked into. Sometimes this can be an uphill battle because the officiant they may want may not be available on their chosen date and they might have to settle for who is available. May I suggest a better way?

Approach the officiant of your choice first before the venue and ask him or her what dates are good for them to marry you? They may even have suggestions on a great venue or an outdoor garden saving you lots of money. They have connections with many venues getting you even more deals.

Far too many times I personally could not accommodate a couples wedding due to not being available for their date. If they would have come to me first we could have adjusted their time or day slightly making everyone happy.

THERE ARE SO MANY TYPES of ceremonies these days they are as unique as the couple. From back yard BBQ’s to Grand Cathedral Church like weddings the choice is yours and the money you have to spend is yours as well.
