INTRODUCTION

The world has witnessed several evolutions in different aspects of life, from medicine to transportation. Currently, the tech world is evolving and expanding into the Metaverse or virtual world, while some believe it is more of a revolution. Either way, something big is going on in the technology industry, which may cause a Big Bang and cause the Earth to be recreated all over. It may sound funny or scary. Will a new world be created and our present environment submerged in it? Is it possible that technology causes the generation of a new environment, which has a name already, Metaverse? Like Earth, Mars, and other planetary bodies that make up the world, Metaverse may join these bodies, and the interesting part is that it is Man-made.

In this book, The Metaverse, an insight into the Metaverse world is examined carefully. Yes, it is a worthy investment that companies are putting their millions into; however, it is enough that big companies are investing? Chapter Two of this book discusses what you need to know about investment, the process, and projects you should pay attention to. Is the future promising, or its all talks? CHAPTER ONE: NFTs in Metaverse

Before we jump into the metaverse world and what NFTs mean, let's discuss something interesting we can relate to.

We all love the beautiful things of life and, most especially, riches! You may be quite familiar with the quote, Money Answers All Things, and you could not agree less. What is life without money, assets, and comfort? Even humble people desire a level of satisfaction. Yes, you may not have it all, but your comfort is important.

Our forefathers once habited the world we live in today. Some had houses and lands; others had antiques, and some nothing. Those who had assets passed it on to their next of kin, from the second generation to the third, fourth and the transition continues. Over time, these assets appreciate doubling or even ten times more the value at which they received from their fathers. These assets are known as NFT, which stands for Non-Fungible Tokens.

Nevertheless, there is something unique about these assets to be classified as a Non-Fungible Token. Their originality and uniqueness were seen that they could not be replicated.

What if your imaginations produced results? For instance, you go to bed, sleep off, and have a beautiful dream where you won a lottery, and you're so excited that you laugh and awake to see yourself smiling. Sometimes, it may be a conversation you are engrossed with that you find yourself saying something, and in most cases, people around may attest to the fact that you laughed, cried, or spoke while you slept.

Amazing right! Now that's what it means to be in the metaverse. Better still, you can relate to having a nightmare and waking up to see yourself covered in sweat, fright, or even letting out a scream. That's the effect of a bad nightmare. A world so immersive your body couldn't tell if it was real or not, it gave back sensory feedback. This is the Metaverse.

Non-Fungible Tokens in Metaverse is like getting an autograph of your favorite celebrity like Usain Bolt and Christiana Ronaldo, their boots, face cap, or shirts (NFTs) in your dreams (metaverse). The only difference is that the non-fungible tokens can be translated into reality which sometimes happens in our dreams too.

We don't want to sound weird, but it will interest you to know that some people have seen things in their dreams that ended up real. What reaction do you have now? It simply means we all have lived in a Metaverse world but just didn't know. Some even received Non-Fungible Tokens that got translated in real life, and without doubt, you are one of them. Do you know how?

Those times as a little child, you had dreams of peeing in the toilet just to wake up and realize you've wet your bed! Familiar huh. Can we now see the picture? However, urine cannot be classified as a Non-Fungible Token because it can be easily replicated. Its composition is the same for every human; hence, it is classified as a Fungible Token.

Metaverse and Non-Fungible Tokens are simpler than we realized. At least, it is more relatable with the narration described above.

What then is a Non-Fungible Token?

A Non-Fungible Token is a cryptocurrency or form of a digital asset unique to an individual who is the owner; for example, a virtual fast and furious car exists on the blockchain; a history of transactions stored in a computer. There are diverse manners by which individuals spend their money on non-fungible tokens. The popular means is purchasing a piece of digital art and having an immutable record of ownership over it.

Just like investors, a few percentages of people who buy this digital art are not just patronizing the artist or appreciating the artwork. Instead, they believe that the Non-Fungible Token's value appreciates and be resold at a greater amount with time. So, while some simply want to boast of being the owner of a digital asset, others see it as a long-term investment. Either way, both individuals are satisfied.

The sale of artwork in March, which has no physical form by Beeple, an American artist by a primary art house for auctions known as Christie's, for almost $70 million is the first sale of Non-Fungible Tokens in history. A school of thought believes that non-fungible tokens do not exist in reality, and every individual can simply save a non-fungible token art piece by clicking on it with no need of spending a huge sum of money to own it.

In as much as the Non-Fungible Token world is promising, it is also a good breeding ground for scammers who can steal and sell digital artworks assets besides other risky things. However, there is proof that non-fungible tokens have gone beyond digital assets because they have been applied in various aspects in real life, and other establishments are digging out the potential in Non-Fungible Tokens.

As stated earlier, Non-Fungible Tokens are special and one of a kind. The features that make it so are:

-Rareness: When the demand for a product is high, and the supply is low, it means the product is scarce, and its value will increase. Normally, there is a limited supply for these tokens, and when that amount experiences a decrease, the rate of its circulation also decreases to preserve its value.

- Uniqueness: Non-fungible tokens are set apart by marks that portray their genuineness and authenticity. It also gives important information regarding the Token by the permanent mark. In school, most students have a tag placed permanently on their lockers or belongings for Identification and distinguishing from others. A mark shows ownership and uniqueness, just like a logo or brand name.

- Indivisibility: Non-fungible tokens retain their value in being an entity. That means it cannot be divided into smaller forms or parts. To purchase a non-fungible token, you must buy it as a whole or forget it, just as you cannot buy an egg without the yolk even if you do not eat yolks. It is very well structured: it starts with an introductory chapter about the metaverse in general (definitions, properties, differences with the internet ect) and then becomes more specific about NFTs and their key role in this new world. I've had others but didn't like them at all. Cryptosphere Academy managed to do a great job with this series, simple and clear, and especially suitable for beginners who want to understand once and for all these complex concepts.

Don't expect to find the magic formula to make thousands of money online with this book!In this course on the metaverse you will find everything you need to get a clear picture of this new world, the technology, the Nfts, and also of course how and where to invest to get great returns in the future.
