She has been an avid student of Bible prophecy for over sixty years as noted in "Time Clocks of God" Together with her husband of fifty-three years she worked in the field of financial services until she retired three years ago. She will tell you, however, her first love throughout the years was teaching Bible studies in various venues. She and her husband also enjoyed time spent many summers in taking grandkids to Christian camps, and fun places.

CHAPTER ONE

He Led Me all the Way

The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters Gen 1:2 NKJV. Ah, yes, and He hovers over His world even now .... His eyes run to and fro throughout the whole earth seeking someone whose heart is perfect toward Him 2 Chronicles 16:9 .... not perfect....all have sinned .... No ... but perfect toward Him. I think I have known a few.

Yet many have been chosen by Him from before the foundation of the earth. Even me. Sound crazy? Maybe .... but amazing ... As the song written by John Newton, Amazing Grace goes on to say that saved a wretch like me. Ah, yes, Why me? I ask. Why would He choose me? Why me? Why? Maybe because God chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise .... It says that in the Bible ... that was me.

I first learned about this as a twenty-year-old army wife during the time of the Korean war. Now I am 87. Let me tell you. I can honestly tell you from my heart ..... He has led me all the way. It is the

Grace of God

I awake this morning at four a.m. It is very dark ..... I ponder the grace of God to me all these years ... even in the dark times. The darkness brings me back in my mind fifty-five years ago. It reminds me of the darkness I encountered in driving one September night from El Paso, Texas to Phoenix, Arizona ... should have been an eight-hour trip .... left El Paso at about eight in the morning… should have arrived Phoenix about four in the afternoon. My little girls four and ten remember the drive although it was so long ago.

About one-hundred miles out of El Paso, my black Ford Falcon slipped into low. It had happened before and I had a transmission job in El Paso but here we were again .... only able to drive about thirty miles an hour ... Probably went about another hundred miles and then it happened. Oh, Lord what is that? A noise and then smoke was coming out of the hood. I pulled over and a beautiful couple stopped and asked me if I was having a problem .. I explained to them. They said they were in no hurry and would follow me until they reached their destination. God was taking care of us .... I have wondered if they were angels..

Angels, you say. This woman is delusional; She even believes in angels!

Well, whatever and whoever they were, they guided us through the lonely desert as night began to fall. Where was the moon, I wondered ... was it the time of Rosh Hashanah (known formerly as the Feast of Trumpets} which occurred at the darkest time of the month when the High Priest of Israel would watch for the first sliver of the new moon?" I did not even see a sliver!

We traveled on still in low and smoke coming from under the hood. Finally, we reached Globe, which was the eastern terminus of the Apache Trail, Arizona. Everything was closed already except for one little gas station. The attendant told me no mechanic was on duty until the morning. My sweet couple told me they were going to have to leave me now. No one to help at least none I could see. Angels can be invisible though. They are spirit beings, you know.

I learned from the attendant that there was an old hotel in town. It looked pretty dark. I had only a little money until I reached Phoenix. Also what I knew about Globe was not an enticing place to stay with two precious little girls. Globe is located in the heart of Arizona’s Tonto National Forest near the mid-point of the legendary Old West Highway that stretches form Apache Junction, Arizona east to Lordsburg, New Mexico.

I knew a little history of Globe which is isolated from the rest of Arizona and its proximity to the San Carlos Apache reservation. Globe had been a frontier
