So many people have had an impact on my life in the latter
part of my journey…
Thank you to my heart; Bryce. Your encouragement and support have lifted me up many days. God couldn’t have given me a better son.
Thank you to Kris, for being a sounding board, for your keen insight and endless conversations on life, relationships and most importantly; the love of Christ.
Thank you to those of you that have been a vessel and example of what a real relationship with Christ can be in everyday life.
Thank you to those that have lived transparently with flaws, but worked to self-correct them. My life has truly been affected by your growth; in spite of. God has placed me in a village that has helped me to experience and see life through
A Different Lens.
I’m forever grateful!
Kay
A Different Lens
May the view from your lens allow you to see beauty in all colors…
Medical Metaphors
So many underlying conditions are brought to the surface as we face the problems of the heart…
Live Wire
Live wire within
sparking each nerve
intermittently
playing a tune
underneath my skin
pulsating, unknown beat
making me aware
and keeping me woke
Can we just all get along
Inflammation
The world is distressed
Inflammation is persistent
It’s tender to the touch
A fluid filled mess
with a lymphatic drag
attacks its own system
slowing things down
It festers beneath the surface
Causing redness, swelling and throbbing pain
Textures change and dehydration is near
Hatred; we need a healing touch
Obese Infection
Lack of movement causes distress
on the whole system
Egos, pride, greed and hate
are consistently fed on junk
They continue to push limits
Swelling into obese ideals
overflowing into crevasses of purity
Infection has set in
Sty
The sty on my eye
Is a bump in my life
It started out as a painful spot
