It has been accepted for centuries that a man is allowed to stray while his wife must stay faithful. Just look at the headlines on any given day. We are inundated with stories of married men that have harassed women, not their wives, to have sex with them. That includes movie stars, musicians, sports stars, and politicians. Almost no man that has any degree of fame is left unscathed by the rumor innuendos and accusations.

Now imagine if the common man could somehow have his transgressions brought to light. Why there wouldn’t be enough room on the entire Internet to report them.

But there is a different standard for women. A wife is expected to turn a blind eye as her husband takes a mistress and be content with whatever attention he is willing to give her.
