The False Pastors - Daniel Cho

    I. Pastors of apostate denominations and churches

    1. Depart from the tents of the wicked

    2. Get out of Sodom now

    3. Those who crucify Christ twice

    1. Depart from the tents of the wicked

He warned the assembly, ‘Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins (Numbers 16:26).

and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households, and all those associated with Korah, together with their possessions. They went down alive into the realm of the dead, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community. (Numbers 16:32-33).

When I was young, I received group punishment. One person did wrong, but everyone was punished. You can be in trouble if you belong to a group of people who does evil. Because of David’s sin of taking a census, 70,000 people were punished by being killed in the plague.

They were punished only for being the people of the king who had sinned. It is very important who you are with and which group or association you belong to. The passage from the Bible is a good example to prove this point. Korah symbolizes a rebellious figure who is against God in the Bible. Let's look at Jude 1:11.

Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion (Jude 1: 11).

This passage is part of the teachings about false teachers, citing Korah's rebellion. Let us examine Korah's opposition against the authority of Moses, the servant of the Lord, through Numbers 16:1-3.

Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and certain Reubenites—Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth—became insolent and rose up against Moses. With them were 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council. They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, ‘You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the Lord’s assembly? (Num 16:1-3).

Korah opposes Moses. Two hundred and fifty people joined Korah. They probably were not happy with what Moses was doing and may have decided that Moses had a problem. However, in the Bible, we can see that they did so with greed for power. Let's look at Numbers 16:8-10.

Moses also said to Korah, ‘Now listen, you Levites! Isn’t it enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the Lord’s tabernacle and to stand before the community and minister to them? He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near himself, but now you are trying to get the priesthood too (Num 16:8-10).

Korah and the Levites came as a group and opposed Moses because they wanted to become priests. In this way, the general pursuit of those who make a party oppose their authority is power and rights to benefits. They blamed Aaron, the high priest at the time. Let's look at Numbers 16:11.

It is against the Lord that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him? (Num 16:11).

It can be presumed that these men resented Aaron for not appointing them priests. Moses was called a man of generosity. He was a truly humble man, and he risked his life for the Israelites and interceded to God. Let's see how Moses reacted when Korah and his party stood against him. This is Numbers16:4.

When Moses heard this, he fell facedown (Num 16:4).

When they came to oppose Moses, his reaction was to fall facedown to God immediately. Whether or not he did something wrong or thought it would be a sin to God for this to happen, Moses humbly fell facedown before God. This was Moses' first reaction when a problem arose. When someone is against you, you must not quarrel. You must kneel to God. After that, Moses first asks to see what God will do. Let's look at Numbers 16:5.

Then he said to Korah and all his followers: ‘In the morning the Lord will show who belongs to him and who is holy, and he will have that person come near him. The man he chooses he will cause to come near him (Num 16:5).

Moses told the congregation that whether he or these men had done wrong would be judged by God’s doing. Let's look at Numbers 16:28-30.

Then Moses said, ‘This is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea: If these men die a natural death and suffer the fate of all mankind, then the Lord has not sent me. But if the Lord brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the realm of the dead, then you will know that these men have treated the Lord with contempt (Num 16:28-30).

As soon as Moses had said this, the land on which Korah and his followers stood split apart and swallowed them all. We have briefly reviewed Korah’s rebellion compared to Moses’ faithfulness and how God destroyed Korah and his party against the authority of the servant given by God. However, the focus here is not Korah himself. I'm not telling you that he's a vicious opponent and was ultimately destroyed.

I want to talk about the people who belonged to Korah. When Korah was destroyed, those who were with him also perished. These people died together only because they were with the evil Korah. The text warns of suffering judgment just by being with the wicked. It even says not to touch the belongings of the wicked. Let’s look at the first passage in the text again.

He warned the assembly, ‘Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins (Num 16:26).

Simply being with these wicked ones is punishable, let alone becoming one with them. In other words, even if you do not participate in the same sin, just by belonging to the same group or community, God hates and punishes the same as the wicked ones. He warns not even to touch their objects, so believers can see how thoroughly they must be separated from the wicked things of the world.

These principles also apply to the laws of the world. Even if someone doesn’t know that it's a mafia organization and only does office work within, if the organization is caught for a crime, that person is also punished. It doesn't matter if that person wasn't directly involved in the crime and only worked in the office. Because a person belongs to that organization, they will be punished.

The same principle applies to the National Security Law of Korea. It is a crime even if you meet, have fellowship, and eat with a person without knowing that he is a spy of North Korea. You will be punished simply by meeting with a spy who works to harm the country.

If you take money from him, it is a far greater offense. If the laws of the world are like this, how much stricter must the laws of God be? The same God who punished Korah and those who belonged to him 3,500 years ago make us look back on where we belong today.

People belong somewhere. They belong to a club, organization, or group. There are places that people belong to from birth, regardless of their wills, such as home or country, and there are organizations that people choose and belong to as they go through life. Wherever it is, we are influenced by where we belong. As we saw in Korah's example, where we belong is a matter so serious that it determines our salvation.

Those who belonged to Korah perished. Those who belong to Shincheonji and those who belong to Lee Man-he will perish. The denominations and churches belonging to the WCC will be destroyed. The pastors and members of these churches will also perish. Those who belong to denominations and churches that condone homosexuality will fall to Sheol like those who belonged to the rebellious Korah. To live, you have to look at where you belong.

God did not create denominations. God did not create any kind of Christian organization. Christian denominations are cliquish in Christ. They make rules that are not biblical. Like Korah, they love power and seek benefits. God forbids us from saying, I follow Paul, Cephas, and Apollos. Let's look at 1 Corinthians 1:12, 13.

What I mean is this: One of you says, ‘I follow Paul’; another, ‘I follow Apollos’; another, ‘I follow Cephas’; still another, ‘I follow Christ.’ Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? (1 Cor 1:12-13).

Christ is not divided. No one is baptized in the name of a denomination. Jesus' disciples did not form a discipleship association or form separate denominations. Making any sects connected with faith in Christ is forbidden by the Bible. Those who believe belong only to Christ, only to the church of Christ. Only Christ hung on the cross for us, and only the blood of Christ has the power of salvation.

We must leave religious associations and worldly organizations. We must move away from unholy meetings. Denominations love money, so the pastors cannot help but love money, and if the pastors love money, the church members cannot help but love money. Denominations are obscene, so the pastor cannot help but be obscene, and if the pastors are obscene, the congregation cannot help but be obscene. Where we belong determines our salvation.

So far, I have talked about the importance of where we belong through the destruction of Korah and those who were with him so that it can determine our salvation. Let’s look at where we believers must leave and the tents of the wicked where we must depart from not to perish. First, let's look at the church. The church is a meeting of believers. Let’s look at 1 Corinthians 1:2.

To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours (1 Cor 1:2).

This verse defines the church well as a group of those who are called ash saints and those who call on the name of Jesus Christ. Next, let's look at Matthew 18:20.

For where two or three gathers in my name, there am I with them (Matt 18:20).

In other words, if two or more gather in the name of Jesus, that place is the church. The church is not a building, and the church has never been a building. Even when there was a revival during the early church, they did not build church buildings. They gathered at home and worshiped. The local synagogue was shared.

Roman Catholicism made them think of the church as a building. In the Middle Ages, indulgences were sold to build large, ornate cathedrals out of the sweat and blood of the poor. These bad traditions have also entered Christianity, and many churches are building large, ornate church buildings.

But wanting to have a large church building is the pastor’s avarice and the congregation's greed. They used the offerings offered to God for their desires. Therefore, it is not a true church where a lot of money is spent on the building. Churches that regard churches as buildings must leave. The building will collapse in the event of an earthquake.

Second, let's look at the pastor. You must get away from the false pastor. The peculiarities of a false pastor are that he loves money and ministers as a profession. And he is obscene. These are the two biggest traits, and the second of these, obscenity, is hard to see. However, you can tell if they love money by observing them closely. If they don't have a very modest, simple life inside and out, that person is a false pastor.

However, there is a way to discern more clearly than these two characteristics. It is by looking into yourself. If you are not regenerated by water and the Holy Spirit, if you are not living a holy life, or if you are not becoming more and more sanctified at the very least, then the pastor who preaches to you is a false pastor.

When members of the church listen to the sermon of a true pastor, their lives will be changed to be holy, or they will leave the pastor. One cannot continue to listen to the teachings of a true pastor without changing. It is very difficult to continue listening to the teachings of a true pastor without being sanctified. Such a person, as described above, will leave the false pastor.

Therefore, your faith is a good measure of judging a false pastor. If your faith isn't growing, the pastor is a false pastor, so leave. You cannot be saved just because you listen to a false pastor's sermon. Let's look at Jeremiah 20:6.

And you, Pashhur, and all who live in your house will go into exile to Babylon. There you will die and be buried, you and all your friends to whom you have prophesied lies (Jer 20:6).

Pashhur is a false prophet against Jeremiah. This verse says that even those who simply listened to the false prophet are killed and buried along with the false prophet. This is a scary word. The congregation rises or falls with the pastor. If the pastor fails, his congregation will not be saved. Korah and those who belonged to him shared their fate. The ground split, and they fell alive to Sheol. To live, leave the tent of the wicked, false pastors.

Third, we will examine denominations. I have already said that creating a denomination is not biblical and is contrary to God's Word. First, let's look at an example of the Presbyterian Church. The Presbyterian Church was created by the blind about 400 years ago, based on the theology of John Calvin, a notorious killer.

This denomination has led many souls to Hell with the representative doctrine of once saved, eternal salvation, Even now, pastors belonging to this denomination teach these doctrines and hunt for souls.

All denominations are wrong and evil, but the Presbyterian denomination is the worst. Leave the church of the Presbyterian denomination. Leave without looking back. I fear that you might become a pillar of salt by looking back like Lot's wife.

Some Presbyterian pastors know that Calvin's theology is wrong and do not teach it. However, the doctrine of this denomination has not changed. Therefore, these pastors also belong to Korah. So, no matter how the pastor is, leave the Presbyterian Church.

Other representative denominations of Korean churches include the Methodist Church, the Baptist Church, the Full Gospel Church, and the Holiness Church. These are the tents of the wicked, which are no different from the Presbyterian Church. Denominations are not based on the Bible but theology and doctrine. Both theology and doctrine are man-made. Therefore, it is wrong. Only the Bible is true.

Doctrine and theology are the addition of human knowledge or philosophy to the Word of God. Therefore, denominations are mutually exclusive. The doctrine and theology differ from each other. Thus, the followers of these denominations do not become one in Christ. They are all wrong, but the denominations say each of them is exclusively right. If the denomination is an organization created by rebelling against God's Word, wouldn't their end be like Korah?

In fact, it turns out that denominations are a satanic society. Many denominations are affiliated with or support the WCC, an apostate organization. Their identity is more clearly revealed now as we have reached the end times.  Denominations are the church’s authority, affecting the salvation of the church and its members. They are Korah who made his own sect, and those who belong to that denomination will eventually perish as if they belong to Korah. So, get away from the churches of all denominations.

Fourth, let's take a look at WCC. WCC stands for World Council of Churches. It was founded in 1948 as part of the global church movement to unite the Christian denominations into one. For a while, opinions were divided between those who opposed this movement because it was not biblical and those who thought it was a positive unity of Christianity.

In 1966, Roman Catholics joined the group, which was Christianity engaged in prostitution with the Roman Catholic prostitute. At this time, 50 some years ago, in 1966, it was already spotted that this group was going wrong. Nevertheless, many deceived Christian denominations have gone on
