    AN INTRODUCTION FROM THE AUTHOR

I’ve mentioned it before – but it does bear mentioning again: the book you’re about to read – and its predecessor, TALES OF THE PSYCHIATRIST – they were inspired, in part, by a difficult period in my life, one which goes back almost thirty years, in those pre-Internet and pre-Facebook days.  It was a time in which both my life and sanity were on the verge of total collapse – and in the summer of 1991, it almost didNot exactly a good situation for yours truly to be in at that time, whose biggest dream was to be a writer/author, inspired in no small measure by the accomplishments by two of my all-time favorite pop culture heroes, Alan Alda and the late Rod Serling.
