As an atheist I committed many cruelties and crimes, some are shared in this publication series. Eventually, in 1996, at age 20, I committed burglaries, attempt armed robberies, and later was convicted for armed robberies, aggravated assaults, hijacking a motor vehicle, and my partner unexpectedly murdered the married owners of their truck. Afterward we stole the truck to get away, I and my co-outlaws outran police across the U.S. from Georgia to Safford Arizona. Upon arrest, one of my co-outlaws fatally shot himself in the head.

I was extradited back to Georgia for trials there. While in jail bored I went to a number of church services (a volunteer evangelist came on weekends), and eventually I accepted God's grace and gift of eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ. It changed my life. Literally. And gradually. It turned my world upside down, for the better. Without a doubt, God drew me closer to Him.

How do I know God drew me closer to Him? God spoke to me and told me. He will speak to you too as you get closer to Him, and He will affirm His closeness to you also.

Why? And, How?

That is what these publications are about. I wanted to share why and how, so others can get closer to God also. This book and others I plan to write show how to connect and get closer to God step by step. They also reveal how to verify your connection and union.

Beginning with God's actions upon me, I accepted God and His Son according to His directions. Those directions came from an evangelist and as recorded in the King James Holy Bible. I spent over 24 years in high security prisons afterward praying and studying the Holy Bible. This included getting baptized and christened. I attended every large gathering of  Catholic, Protestant, and nondenominational churches. Their in-prison services gathered us in a large visitation room. Next we returned to our prison units. God's Holy Spirit moved me to minister to prisoners and gather prayer groups through the week. And that built and grew a small Biblical house church time after time.

By love for God, faith, and the Holy Bible, God helped me navigate through innumerable diverse churches' teachings that came into prison from the freeworld outside prison. From His Holy Scriptures (Holy Bible) He helped me to discern solid Christian history from dubious later traditions. Eventually I began administering the Lion of Judah Discipleship Journey Seminary curriculum to raise more elders as Biblical Pastoral and Councilor Bishops.

In 2011, a day before my birthday, although I hate being in prison, and although I'm innocent of murder-----by law I was acquitted of the murders on the same evidence I was found guilty (contradictory verdict)----I completely abandoned trying to get out of prison, I waived my rights to a direct appeal to remain in prison a minister, and never looked back the same.

Don't misunderstand me, I want out of prison, but for God not me. If He wants me out, He can make it happen. I cooperate, I still try to be released, for Him, His way, but not hardheadedly and stiff-necked for exclusively myself. I serve Him, however winding, unpredictable, Holy, loving, clean, sound, and stable that journey has led me by His leadership. I'm all His.

After repeating to others the basics for getting closer to God (now in this publication series), seeing how effective it has been to help others unite to God to change their lives for the better, I was moved and funded to write this publication.

These planned 12 series are helpful if you apply their directions, the whole of which is a detailed directive and testimony encouraging you to primarily apply the Holy Bible to your life, particularly the New Covenant. This first of 12 series is very important to attain God's Biblical first commandment to love Him with all your being.

As I and others have been blessed beyond expectations, so may you, which is my hope and prayer for you.

INTRODUCTION

"One who receives you receives me, and one who receives me receives Him (God the Father) who sent me."---Jesus Christ, Matthew 10:40. B.V.

The following questions may run through minds about me and this publication, as follows.

Who are you that qualifies you to speak on this topic?

How do you know your close to and walk with God?

What are the benefits?

The answer to these three questions follow.

What qualifies me to expound on this subject is God Himself, His Holy Spirit filled words, together those words comprise His Word, which include His promises, facts, prophecies, and other information affirmed in a Sacred and ancient Record called the Holy Scriptures (Holy Bible).

People gifted and inspired by God wrote those Sacred Records. They do not simply comprise ancient insight which existed before and spread into various later religions such as Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and the Quran or Islam. They also comprise that wisdom in previous applied ways by the individual person to collective people, even to help governments treat people better. Some people are less mindful that God favors order amid chaos, as wild life on earth is subject to the larger universal cycles of cosmic life order demonstrate.

To be subject to God's guidance and control is like the conditions of a wild and free stray dog versus one subject to a wealthy, informed, loving yet disciplined Master of a mansion and Kingdom grounds. Stray dogs may have more shorter burst of exciting adventures, near death experiences of exhilarating liveliness, but by comparison they suffer much more overall in life. They have no veterinarian to help them recover from bad decisions and experiences, they are more disease prone, scavengers, their life expectancy is shorter, they are often mangy, skinny, scabbed, itchingly irritated, unhealthy, and dissipated.

The benefits from being a dog exercising one's disciplined control in conformity to the Master's control become obvious. There is of course much freedom there too for the Master's dog, but it is at most opportune times, safer, and much more enjoyable. Should a stray sickly dog cross paths with the controlled but healthy Master's dog, the Master's dog is clearly a more advantageous and more powerful stock. And so it is with spiritual to physical sickly people not discerning God, uncontrolled, and wild versus healthy people raised and led by God into such wisdom, as angels.

I speak as a stray dog taken in by the Master. This contrast informs me that I walk with the Master daily. If I wine or bark for His attention, I get it. After I submissively and joyfully wag my tail at His presence, and rejoice at His intervention in my life, obviously so grateful to His every hint of care, nothing is outside His awareness, He awards me in various ways. I might become the envy of other dogs, but if from it they jump on me in His Presence, He will reprimand and bear justice down on the uninformed aggressors and tend to me with loving kindness and amends for my suffering.

Sound like something any kind and just man or woman would do for their pet or offspring of creation? Yes. Such men and women inherit such qualities from their Maker. Almighty God is the ultimate Source of such greatness. I love Him because He first loved me. 1 John 4:19, 5:4.

You can love Him because He first loved you.

The blessings increased as I showed my obedience, gratitude, and loving affection in return to God. From such experience I can communicate the blessings to others.

One might reply, what about cruel masters or pets or offspring, are they not also from God? And we learn here about our relative free will after God's likeness from whom we come from. We also learn about contrast. If no color but white existed it becomes less appreciated than when comparable to other colors such as black, blue, green, etc. If God were entirely mean, evil to humans, destructive, or the author of only chaos, there would be no good, help to humans, constructive or author of cosmic or universal order nor its controlled environment from which Supreme Intelligent creation arises.

So, would you rather be the stray dog or the highly trained self-controlled dog? Would you rather have the wrath, or favor, upon you from the wealthy, informed, loving yet disciplined Master of the grounds and kingdoms of the earth?

Welcome to our Master's earth and Kingdom of kingdoms. Its additional grandness is yet to come. Allow me to share how you can better acquire His favor and benefit most; for my days are coming to a close, but He has pleasure in good companions and has great things in store for you.

Each 12 series potentially coming are planned to address important subjects for moving closer to God. They open with an allegory to convey the significance for the chapter's following definitions and instructions, which is followed by testimony of my experience from the subject.

Nicknames used for people are real and their first and last names can be obtained by request to the author for verification when and where people give permission to God's glory.

The Appendices is very important as it provides critical definition and factual ingredients behind the chapters. Rather than those deeper parts appear in chapters to digress from the topic at hand, they are at the Appendices.

THE REASONS FOR THIS PUBLICATION

This publication arose from a desire to share to help others after witnessing from God what helped people to get closer to Him and find success. It has risen after being an atheist imprisoned repeatedly, finally becoming a Christian, then going beyond 24 years ministering in high security prisons as a prisoner in Georgia, United States. If prison were a monastery, God made me its warrior monk.

I consider a successful person someone who is in good Spiritual and physical health loving God; even those overcoming compromised health from prior tragedy or bad decisions. They lead or help lead in their community, occupation or vocation, according to Biblical morals, they do a good job for God reliably and responsibly; they have a home, a means of transportation, uncontaminated food, clean water, a healthy diet, and suitable clothing; they maintain experiencing a good set of provisions regarding adequate sleep, work, leisure, reorienting rest, prayer, and Biblical study-meditation. From work and wages they can maintain that success, thereby support family, help friends, and spread the gospel in teams. They are able to tithe to benefit church, society, and the world, thereby supporting church person-to-person ministry missions and their church-to-church ministry mission and its oversight (as by Global Council from Christ within the Christian Church of God from Jerusalem, for example) for a more even distribution of strength, from and for God as His co-managers.

Many people and prisoners are far from this successful achievement.

My hope is this publication helps them draw closer to God, enjoy His wealth of benefits for an abundant life, from that empowerment become that successful to God's glory, and thereby help others be and maintain such success joyfully.

Afterwards, such godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Timothy 6:6.

CHAPTER 1 PREFACE: The Supremacy of God's Recorded Words in the Holy Bible.

"If you live in me and my words live in you, you will ask what you desire (from God), and it shall be done for you." -- Jesus Christ the Son of God, from the Holy Bible at John 15:7.

The Holy Bible is from God's Holy Spirit and it is the supreme material authority for the Christian in matters of belief and teaching. Man or church outside the Holy Spirit and outside the Holy Bible's words for affirmation, is not.

In this publication I provide Holy Bible verses for you to see supreme material authority bearing witness from God yourself about teachings or beliefs.

Why?
