About this ebook

Author Sonja A. Christiansen was born in Frankfurt, Germany, just after World War II. After coming to the United States as a child and growing up in Montville, Maine, she understood she had abilities that were different from others’. She could handle wild animals, for example—picking up wild raccoons and moving them out of the cellar or feeding wild bears by hand.

Author Harvard “Ed” Webber was also born right after the war, in the small town if Rumford, Maine. As fate would have it, he also found he had unusual gifts for healing and flight. His first experience in the world of spirit was spontaneously leaving his body when he was in danger or extremely stressed.

Who would have ever guessed that these two would meet, fall in love, be separated by others, and, nearly fifty years later, find each other again? By that time both had many life experiences and had studied with many teachers who showed them how to use these abilities for good. They both learned early how to leave their bodies at will and experience a whole new world.

This personal narrative tells the story of two children who believed they came from the stars and then built amazing lives together while exploring time travel, clairvoyance, and healing energy.

A special thank-you to all of our extended family who have

supported us through our frustrations as well as our joy. So

many have put their time and life energy into supporting,

listening, and discussing our ideas and teachings and offering

their truthful feelings about our beliefs and understandings.

Thank you for helping us negotiate through the weft and

warp of our bits and pieces of chatter and the rearrangement

of words over the years as soon as new words appeared and

needed to be coaxed into place. It’s been nearly twenty years

of listening, correcting, rewording, giving up, and starting

again. We could not have completed this without the positive

energy and support from all of you, as well as many more who

have not been listed. Thank you for your amazing love and

A special thank-you to our son Vince for his unrelenting

Thank you to all of our friends, family and guides over

the years who have walked with us on this path. I know

it seems like we have been talking about this forever! I

think perhaps you are right! It’s finally here! Thank you

all for your patience, support, and encouragement. It has

been nearly twenty years since we first laid down tracks

for what this has become. We could not have continued

without your love and encouragement. We hope you are

happy with the outcome and that we have been able to

bring light. Without your loving and sometimes tough

guidance, we would never have been able to get here.

    With Love,

    S. and The Fuzzy Guy

We hope our story will make a difference

in showing how we can all bring our

own light one spark at a time.

    Thank you.

    Introduction

The original intent of this book was to write our life story in tandem, sharing our learnings and understanding about Spirit and life as we figured it out and over time melded insights with many different teachers along our lives’ pathway, writing our own memories and describing the paths we took in life. We hoped to offer some guidance and support for others who followed our insights and understandings as we traveled our path. We wanted to bring an understanding that those who can access their gifts and learn how to use them are light bringers, not evil or nuts.

We did start out that way but Ed, Star Eyes, passed before he could finish his work. I have gone through his notes and have tried to speak with his voice. At times you will see his name at the start of the chapter or paragraph. Those are his direct writings. I make note where I am paraphrasing his words. If there is no name on the chapter or in the story, it is a glimpse of what we shared together. We still have an amazing relationship. He is around and makes himself known. Some of his words and feelings have been channeled through me.

We hope these words, as well as our life’s adventure, will touch your heart and open doors to the higher realms of awareness for you, however you believe them to be. All things are possible through love and intention. The light will guide you if you ask through your heart.

Thank you for peeking into our world. We

would love to know what you think.

Our story is offered to you with love.

Sonja and Ed (Star Shine and Star Eyes)

To our readers, just so you can keep names straight, Ed’s birth name was Harvard Edgely Webber. In school he was called Harvey. When he had a son, he named him the same. As the son got older, the two of them operated a business together. So to separate the two, the son was called Harvard and the dad was called Ed. Friends of ours started calling him Fuzz because of the beard he had in later life. The name stuck with our friends and family. So you will see Harvard, Harvey, Ed, and Fuzz. All refer to the same amazing guy!

Names inside this book have been changed

Somewhere in time, so long ago, two souls were finding their way through the maze of forever. They were within the depths of anonymity, searching for an identity. They found each other and compared their journeys. They came to the conclusion that together, they were one.

So it was for many turns of time, until they were brought to the council and asked to be part of a grand experiment. They were to go to a place where they would become two again. They were opposed at first, but the council explained that as two they could influence more and learn from many teachers at once. They were convinced and set forth on a wondrous journey to fulfill the wishes of the council.

In their journey, they became separated and lost, but they had memories of their purpose and did their best to learn and influence others. Then, on one turn of time, they were reunited. And as always, together they were one. And all of their training and purposes were revealed. They went on for many more turns of time, once again together in heart and purpose, to influence all those around them to the light.

The war was over. At least on paper. But it was not over for those who hungered, who mourned, who had lost loved ones, or who tried to make ends meet in a now upside-down economy. The year was 1946. One did what one could to get by in the German countryside. Food was rationed with ration cards. Proof of birth and proper family got one in line. Formerly well-heeled young women became cleaning women, pleasure workers, babysitters, and farm laborers, as well as photographers if they were lucky enough to have cameras and connections.

So it was for a nineteen-year-old living on a farm far away from the city that had been bombed, her family gone. She found shelter with an elderly family she did not know who gave her food and lodging in trade for farm work. The young woman who had arrived at the farm with only the clothes on her back and a small Kodak camera walked into the town five miles away to sell eggs and what produce she could fit into her basket each day. How had she come by a camera? Who knows. Strange things went on in those shadowy days. She walked to town each day with her basket, along with her precious camera, guarding her secret, least she be turned out.

A cold wind blew through the November air. It was a perfect day to get house chores done and beat the rugs on the line. Suddenly water gushed out from under the oversize man’s coat the young woman wore. The secret was out now, if it had not been suspected before. What could be done? The elderly family was kind. The child, who arrived well before her time, underweight and malnourished, weighed two pounds. She was wrapped quickly in old bedding and placed on the back of the wood stove in a bread pan, none thinking she would live. The young mother had no milk. In winter, the cows were dry. A wet nurse was found, and food was traded. The child, having no father, was not allowed a ration card. At first milk was enough, but as the child grew, something had to be done. The young woman left the child in the care of the farm family and went into the town to earn a living—sometimes with her camera and sometimes in other ways. She would be gone for many weeks at a time.

In time, the young mother rebuilt her life and came back to get the child. The child had lived with the family as one of their own for several years. The family was not willing to give the child back now. During those years in the country, there was no paperwork, no birth certificates, no proof of purchase; children were born on the farm without benefit of doctors being present. Only the words of the family who had lived through the tumultuous times were left. They loved the child as their own.

After months of pleading and unproductive bargaining, the young mother, still standing her ground to reclaim her child, sighed and, appearing defeated, left the room.

As the glowing evening transformed into the ink of an overcast night, she crept in through the wide crack in the side of the old barn, through the summer kitchen door, and into the house proper, and then into the tiny bedroom created years prior in the back of the small kitchen fireplace. In a fast, cloaked swoop, she spirited the small child away, tenderly placing her into her large carry case, and headed for the airport with a dose or two of paregoric to make sure the child slept throughout the long flight. It was a wild ride flying through the night in a Zundapp KS side car. This world was rife with black markets where, with a bit of horse trading, one could get what one needed.

    I Was Born Running

    Ed

It was a chilly afternoon in early February 1947, in a small town in western Maine. The fifteen-year-old mother-to-be was in the last hours of childbirth. She was at once excited and frightened out of her wits. She had lived on a farm most of her young life with her great-grandmother and a couple of cousins. She knew what bearing young was all about but wasn’t sure what she would be experiencing. She knew this one fact: she was going to have this baby, and it would be the one thing she could love and count on to love her back, for real.

Early in the morning on the 8th of February, she gave birth to a boy. She was happier in that moment than she could remember in her short life. Two days later, the man she had come to love as her father (who was actually her uncle) came to collect her and the baby from the hospital and take them home.

Home. Home? It was probably not as much a home as a house. It lasted a few months, but postwar Maine was not an easy place to make a living. So off to Staten Island, New York, she went, where her dad was a chauffeur and her mother was a cleaning woman.

My mom went to work across the river in the manufacturing plant building airplanes for the war effort, leaving me with various babysitters. Most of them wanted to adopt me, but Mom would have none of that. Eventually she and her mom moved back to Maine and lived on a houseboat for a time. One day when I was about two, my grandmother loaded Mom and me into the car and drove us to a boarding house in town and told mom to get out. This was going to be her new home. The shock was unbelievable. Here she was, seventeen with a two-year-old child and being turned out by her mother with no more than a few weeks’ worth of rent and barely enough money to buy food for a few days.

Always a plucky child, Mom turned to survival mode. She took odd jobs where she could, and eventually she was able to stand on her own. I was growing like a weed and was showing some disturbing tendencies, such as a penchant for running away. One morning shortly after I turned three, she was awoken by the local police, who arrested her and took her to the station house. She told them that she had a little boy. They told her that was what they wanted to talk to her about. When she walked into the station, she saw me sitting on a matron’s lap. It was then that she learned that I had gotten up early that morning and had been found naked staring up at the police officer directing traffic in the busiest intersection in town. They wanted to arrest her for child neglect. When they found out that I had piled chairs and books by the front door, climbed up, and made my escape, they thought differently. They took her home and said, You want to watch that child; he will keep doing this! They were right! But I had to know what was out there!

Not too long before she died, she told me that I should write my autobiography and call it I Was Born Running and Never Stopped.

    Our Mothers Helped

    Change the World

Our mothers may or may not have had choices about getting pregnant. But they had the ability to make different decisions about their situations. Even back in the day, there were choices. The choices may have been dangerous, but women for eons have known there are ways to terminate pregnancies. It was a hard time, and they both faced and dealt with the mores of society at the time. Birthing out of wedlock was not something that was done then. By making the choice of letting us be born,
