Countless Mirrors - Pratyay Raha
I listened to the songs on Christmas night
The memories travel and the love sleeps tight
In the graves of castles and streets of the city,
Wings unfurl and feel serenity,
Their words melt into shapes of colours
Talk on creche of hopeless honours
The child with hunger sits across
Streets with a ghost that never was
The songs were made on holding tight
Keep coming back every other night
When the wailing sound of hunger grows
The Ghost in the city always knows…
Geometry
Shapes are waiting to liquidate faces
Silence allows sounds to oscillate the air
The cacophony is born next door
When the faces liquidate into shapes
Dark
The mountain of words
Grow into the cloudy sky
A river of debt to silence
Flows into a war of nothing
With every silence that is ignored
The letter box of darkness grows
They keep speaking in the dark
On how to see the summit
A triangle of love letters
Keeps ignoring the space of silence
The triangle inside the circle of words
Crumbles into a distant fear,
In spite of the cacophony,
When you looked at me at the cafe
The coffee beans absorbed the silence
And germinated in the darkness of light…
Music
The divulsion of the composer
Makes the universe scream for chaos
The sorrow of the string emulsifies
The tune of perennial rivers,
Born on the banks of uncivilised drones
The spacecraft of hollow syncopation
Talks to a landmine about photosynthesis
The breath of the leaf hears rhythm
Hidden in the hope of light
and diffusing into a tune of darkness
Being
Every word I say
Is an interjection on the space of silence
Every emotion I feel
Is an interruption to the flow of my being
I am a
