Anne sat at the bar, alone, with the second cocktail. She was used to waiting for him by now, and at this moment, with the music and the warmth from the bourbon flushing her cheeks and knowing, she could see her reflection in the mirror behind the bottles, that she looked perfect, she was content to pass the time alone.
