      Seeing Heath made my heart skip a beat and promptly sink into the pit of my stomach. Up until two weeks ago running into him unexpectedly at the grocery store would have evoked a laugh and curved my lips into a coy smile. Today it made me want to turn and run away, but I've never been that sort of woman. Maybe two weeks since the breakup wasn't long enough for us to be friends, but I was still worried about Heath. Even if he was a spineless squid that shredded my heart just to please his family.

      So what if I came from the wrong side of the tracks? So what if my ass had never parked itself in a confession booth or on a church pew? What if nature called to my soul more than a building? What did that have to do with anything? Hell, I still don't know.
