Marcus Bulwer had been every girl's wet dream at the college we attended. I had always thought he was a pompous ass, and in some ways I had been correct. He was an arrogant bastard, at least until you got to know him.

I graduated college only to find that a liberal arts major didn't have many options for jobs. Like most in my position I was kicking myself in the ass for being so foolish. I had enjoyed college, but the real world was going to eat me alive if I didn't find a job. I applied to every position that museums, theaters, and even antique shops posted, and got turned down for every single one of them.

It was only luck that Mr. Bulwer had overheard me explaining an abstract painting to a group of tourists. Two days later he hired me as his personal assistant.
