About this ebook

Get the Summary of Gary Zukav's The Seat of the Soul in 20 minutes. Please note: This is a summary & not the original book. Original book introduction: In The Seat of The Soul, Gary Zukav shares a powerful discovery he made after studying historical figures like Albert Einstein, William James, and the psychologist Carl Jung. Zukav believes that these thought-leaders (along with many others) developed their ground-breaking theories and game-changing ideas by going beyond themselves.

They had their break-throughs by transcending their egos and tapping into a source of knowledge that was already there: the soul. Zukav's belief is that being able to tap into the soul gives us "authentic power."

Authentic power is about our ability to make a deep connection with our soul and its ultimate purpose for our lives. Each of us, he tells us, comes into this world with a soul that has a purpose. And that soul's purpose is intertwined within the greater purpose of the universe as a whole… Heavy stuff, but we'll unpack these concepts as we dive into the Big Ideas.

    Overview

The Seat of the Soul (1989), Gary Zukav’s first book about spirituality, describes how humans in the late twentieth century began evolving into more intuitive, soulful beings. Truly evolved people attune their faculties so they can perceive phenomena beyond the material world—that is, beyond what they see, hear, smell, touch, and feel. This spiritual capacity will, over time, help humans collectively move away from violence and towards love and light, the forces at the center of the universe.

Most people think of evolution in terms of physicality and biological survival. But survival of the fittest is only part of the picture; survival is the limited goal of a five-sensory point of view, and it is quickly becoming outdated. Humans are moving towards an expanded multisensory point of
