BETTE JOHNSON, who is eight months pregnant, decides to leave her philandering, self-centered husband, STEVE, without telling a soul. After withdrawing $350,000 from their joint bank account, she buys an SUV she sees in the classifieds from LOVEY, a woman of pure evil, and departs for the snowy mountains. She has a car accident and is knocked unconscious. BEN AVERY, a snowplow driver, rescues her and tends to her wounds.
