The Night of Jack & Jill: I AM Andrean, #3

About this ebook
Three thousand plus years in the future, in a time known as the Jara Era, the powers and abilities that might allow someone to brandish the title of superhero could just as easily come about from alien home world physiology, as available top tier technology. For instance a person from a high gravity world will seem super strong off their home planet. It's equally true that any driven wealthy sort, with a few million credits to spend, might invest in any of an assortment of body enhancements or gear. Be it bionics, generics or any or an assortment of energy manipulation or augmentation technologies. If you have the finances you could play superhero on a given day, on given world. Of course there are laws and regulations that keep most of these disruptive vigilante tendencies in check, if by no other means than cost. Just like the average person can't buy a tank to drive on city streets, the average person does not have access to purchase potentially, "superhero tech" on the open market. By scarcity and or price, or very strictly enforced laws, such things are usually only in the hands of larger metro law enforcement, governments and the military.
There are however those times when the perfect storm of happenstance drop super power tech or planet of birth into the hands of people who have read too many comic books and or have too little supervision. Such is the case with Deslar civil war vet Wayne Godwynne and his girlfriend's daughter, Naya. Wayne, a thin build man is in possession of a self made nanite composed muscle suit, that makes him into a hulked out super soldier. This super tech of his own creation helped keep him alive and hold his own on in the Deslar Civil War, on a planet that turned men into gods. Naya, his girlfriend's daughter, and owner of an extensive comic book collection, was from the high gravity world of Torrey 9. At only 12 years old, off her home world, she was a force to be reckoned with.
TOGETHER (and with the moms out of town) They are Power Jack & Jill 4 the Kill !

The Night of Jack & Jill - Jerri O'Powell
Prologue
A short story window
from the I AM Andrean
series;
(The Dark Son of Deslar)
from the novel
Wayne and Naya really connected. She was taking an interest in his nano-technology, and he was taking an interest in her comic book collection. When it was all four of us together, he spent more time tinkering in the barn workshop with her, than with her mom, which gave us more time to play together. One weekend morning on the farm, me and her mom decided to go to a plus size women’s fashion expo on the other side of the planet, in the Mach 12 (their ship). We got back late in the evening, and they were nowhere to be found. A quick walk thru of the farmhouse and barn found his WPC (wrist personal computer) and her phone on the workshop counter. His truck was gone as well. We were kinda worried, but not really, and more so for Wayne than Naya. Not that we had any real reason to worry; I mean Wayne was a Deslarian war vet and Naya was EquaTorrean. I had seen her pick up the tractor and move it out of her way. We also saw a note on the fridge that said back in a bit
. A few hours later we heard Wayne's truck pull up the driveway and into the barn behind the house. A few minutes later a disheveled and obviously exhausted Wayne and Naya drug into the house. They made a B-line to the kitchen. Naya downed 3 bottles of Torrean mineral water and Wayne took down quite a bit of tap on ice for himself. Asking where they had been all day they said.
Fishing
, she said.
Fishing at Konyal Lake in Hillsburg,
he said.
Big one got away,
she said.
Let the rest go,
he said.
Gnite,
she said and she was straight up the stairs to her bedroom as Wayne walked down the hall towards the master bedroom. I was going to check on them but her mom, with her daughter home safe and sound, had other intentions for me that required my attention on the living room sofa.
E nd from the novel
...this is what happened that night. (with Wayne & Naya)
Power Jack and Jill for the Kill, road into the burg, at the top of the hill.
Jack, he was strong, but not on his own, he needed the suit, or his power was gone.
Jill was from Torrey, like rock from a quarry, strength of 500, so no need to worry.
Into the city with mission that night, to stop some wrongdoing, some crime they would fight.
Jill, only 12 should be home in her bed, if her moms knew her local, then Jack would be dead.
Powered with tech, and with Torrian might, they hacked into cop bans for most of the night.
For Jill! So thought Jack and we won't be too long, we’re both superpowered so what could go wrong?
