Jack & Jill Jump Jakaro: I AM Andrean, #4
()
About this ebook
Naya Quean and her stepfather, the only father she has ever known, have a secret. They play superheroes together. Three Thousand years in the future, in the Jara Era. There are still those sorts who by nature, nurture, science or magic have abilities above and beyond the ordinary. Naya and her stepdad Wayne Godwynne are two such sorts. Naya by her very nature has incredible durability and strength hailing from the home world of Torrey 9, the highest gravity of any human inhabited planet in the confederacy. Her stepdad's power is rooted in nature too. With his genius level nanite architecture skill he has actually created life. This same skill set allowed him to create nanite Jack Suit technology. In this skin of nearly undetectable, indestructible muscle tissue he was a mere mortal man able to stand toe to toe with near gods in the Deslarian Civil War.
Too many comic books and the lack of the mothers' supervision prompted them to slip off into the city one night and have their hand at playing superhero. IT WAS A HOOT! Lives were saved. Evil was foiled and the day was saved, well the night actually (The Night of Jack & Jill). As fun as it was, the time that was had, Wayne was not being responsible dad. To be a responsible upstanding sort, Wayne swore he would never be that reckless again. In part, because even as strong as Jill was, even stronger than him, her mother was even stronger. She might literally kill him if she found out...So never again…
UNTIL THIS DAY!

Jack & Jill Jump Jakaro - Jerri O'Powell
Prelude
My name is Naya Quean, but there are a handful of people out there who will remember me as Jill 4 the Kill. Let me explain that. I’m an average 12 year old girl from Torrey 9. There is nothing out of the ordinary about me. My mom is pretty badass though. She was a Torrey Ranger when I was little. You do not want to make her mad. I have seen her mop the floor with men twice her size. Even my ‘gym rat swole’ Uncle Dranny runs from her when she get’s mad at him. We’re not rich but we do ok though. After the military my mom worked a lot of security off world. See, besides being a badass Torrey Ranger, that’s military special ops, we are from Torrey 9. Torrey 9 has the highest gravity in the confederacy. Now unlike other high gravity worlds with big bang human inhabitants, who evolved to be taller, bigger ,and huge swole, like my Uncle Dranny hits the gym 9 days a week to get, Torreans are indistinguishable from other humans, at least to look at us. I guess we got bigger on the inside. Weigh us and we are crazy heavy, well relative to other humans in the galaxy.
Everything on Torrey 9 is… well harder and denser and stronger. That’s why our biggest export is military armor and equipment. If it’s made on Torrey, you won't break it, as the saying goes. You always hear that the worlds outside of Torrey is like a paper world to us. We have to wear these gadgets when we leave the home world called a gravity diffuser, so we dont break everything we run into. They cost more than a car.
Now get this; I’m from Torrey, but I’m also Equa-Torrean. That means my family lives in the equator region of Torrey. Torrey has 5 gravity zones and the equator is the highest. There are some places in our region with gravity 100 times stronger than other places on the planet. We are strong EVEN as far as Torreans go. In fact it’s almost impossible to become a Torrey Ranger being from anywhere other than the equator region and immediately north and south of us. We are really really strong. Some planets won't even allow us on-world as adults without special permission. That’s not a big deal though. Torrey is beautiful and does not leave much else to desire. I won't even get into how ridiculously expensive tickets to fly off-world are, not to mention needing one of those gravity diffuser things.
Momma made a good living working security off-world. It was so good in fact she got me a safety rated domestic parental robot. His name is quincy. He and my Uncle Dranny look after me while momma is off world. Every 10 days, once a week, she is back home like clockwork. I think she likes her job. She said it was almost like being one of the superheroes in my comic books when she is off world. That’s where she met Wayne and Andrean. I kinda figured after a few months my momma was dating one or the other of them. I was a little surprised to find out it was both. They are a trio. We became a little family. Andrean is some kind of nanite lifeform called a Rehuman. She is a shapeshifter. She can become anybody or anything she wants, given the nanites for mass and the power. I think in certain forms, she is stronger than momma off-world. Daddy Wayne, and never tell him I call him that, it would fuck everything up, is the coolest guy ever. He tries real hard to be a good role model and I don't even think that's for me. I think that’s just him. Somewhere in his DNA, it’s important for him to be good. And he’s brilliant. I swear he's a genius. I have heard it bantered around that his nanites are decades ahead of what’s out there on the market today. If he were out there working in his industry he would be making a fortune. Weird thing though; I kinda think he and Ms. Andrean are kinda rich, or at least came into some money after the Deslarian Civil War. Instead of being a captain of industry putting his dent in the world on nanite technology, he is a starship captain hauling freight and running a potato farm… go figure.
Anyway, just before I turned 12 momma made this big bonus with them and she bought us this new house, and momma finally introduced them to me and told me they were together...a trio. I got to go on their ship for my birthday. That was the first time I went off-world, and just like momma said, when we got to Leventoft , where the potato farm was, it was like I was a little superhero. I could actually jump on top of their farm house. Did I mention that Daddy Wayne was cool as all get out. He LOVED my comic book collection. As it turns out most comic books are regional, that is to say not really distributed on multiple worlds. I mean there are a few but most are not. He had never seen my comic book superheroes. When he was a kid he read the one’s on his world, but he said he fell off after college. Get this now, Daddy Wayne had HIS OWN super suit. It was like a for real, for real, super suit. He wore it during the Deslarian Civil war. I mean it's not some super impossible thing, it’s just how it looks. There are a lot of power armors out there that do the same thing and some even more, but they look like power armor, robotic and mechanical. When he was wearing it, he looked like this musclebound comic book superhero mascot. He could even strip down to his undies and just look like some muscle bound hulk. He made it so it could get by undetected in most places. He just looked like a big guy from a high gravity world like Vence 24 or like he was a gene-kid (those on gene therapy). He was almost as strong as me in that thing, but probably not an adult Torrean, and he was darn near invulnerable.
So under the nose of both my moms, Daddy Wayne made me a nanite super suit too. He actually called it a Jack Suit, because; it JACKS YOU UP! The one he made for me was not so much for strength, I mean what for, and didn’t make me more muscular or bigger. It was basically for protection. For protection from what you might ask. Well if he were not an adult, and a genius I might could take credit for manipulating him, but you know, he’s the adult. With my own little Jack Suit, we figured how dangerous could it be for us to go out and play superhero for a night? That same suit protected him, a regular human, on a planet full of EMA (Extra Mental Ability) gods at war. Surely we would be safe against some common street thugs. One night the moms went out and so did we.
***The Night of Jack & Jill***
We called ourselve Jack & Jill, actually Power Jack and Jill 4 the Kill. We actually ended up breaking up an intergalactic sex ring. Well not really breaking it up, I mean the main baddy got away, but we did bust up at least one of their spots on Levintoft. We saved a butt-load of young girls from getting sold into the sex trade. You know what though? That’s not fair. We just assumed the sex trade, but they could have been sold into slavery for factory labor on some non-confederate world. Anyway we did good, and my moms weren’t the wiser. We got home slightly later than they did, and we said we had been out fishing and crashed right out. The next morning over breakfast we had a thing. We were in a club. We had a secret. I love my Daddy Wayne, even if I can’t ever tell him or call him daddy to his face. He might go away.
Power Jack & Jill for the Kill, had a big secret, for homelife tranquil
They played superhero, but just for one night, they got in a scuffle, some crime they did fight
Now this was no whim, no ill thought half plan,
