Nothing To Do

Grandma was standing at her kitchen sink gazing out of her window, watching the two cardinals setting up housekeeping in her bright yellow Forsythia bush. The electrical power went out. Eleven year old Jack ran into the kitchen yelling that the computer wasn’t working. Meanwhile, his little sister ran in from the other room upset that the TV screen had gone blank while she was watching her Tinker Bell movie.

Grandma interrupted all their moaning and groaning to say: "It’s just a power failure. I am sure that the electricity will come back on soon. I saw the power truck in the neighborhood earlier.
