(with TPRS technique)

This book consists of literature for children. The tales start from simple to more complicated themes to learn Spanish & English. This will help them learn faster. Each tale will have vocabulary words to help them understand. At the end of each story are included questions and answers similar to the TPR Storytelling technique. My inspirations for some of the tales were songs I learned when I was a child. I hope teachers and students will enjoy and learn Spanish and English (for ELL) by reading short stories.

Este libro consiste en literatura para niños. Los cuentos empiezan con temas simples que se van a ir complicando poco a poco conforme se lee el libro. Esto les ayudará a los niños para aprender con más facilidad. Cada cu ento tendrá vocabulario para entender mejor la historia. Al final de cada cuento se incluyen preguntas y respuestas similares a la técnica TPRStorytelling. Mi inspiración para algunos de los cuentos fueron canciones que aprendí en mi niñez. Espero que tanto profesores como estudiantes disfruten y aprendan español o inglés leyendo estos cuentos.

Mayela Hess, Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Literature and Linguistics from the University of Costa Rica. Bachelor of Arts with majors in Spanish and Linguistics awarded by regionally accredited colleges and universities in the United States. Master of Science with major in TESOL from Nova Southeastern University. She has been awarded by the superintendent of schools in Clark County, Las Vegas Nevada for best practices in Multicultural Education. She was a presenter for the – SWCOLT –in Las Vegas, Nevada -April 13-14,2006 AP/IB/Advanced Levels where she taught Latin American Dances, Songs, and Games for the Spanish Classroom. She was acknowledge by the Review Journal 04/03/2007 World travelers Centennial's International Club hosts Carnival of Cultures …. International Club students participated in the school's eighth annual Carnival of Cultures. Europe; North, Central and South America; Africa; Asia and Australia all were represented. "It's good to learn that every culture is unique and also every culture has something in common," said Mayela Hess, the school's Spanish teacher and carnival organizer. TPRS TECHNIQUE was created by Blaine Ray, I took a workshop in 2005. After taking this class I realized that I was already using a similar technique for the past 10 years of teaching foreign languages. My methodology or technique is called Mystery Stories to Learn Spanish & English that include 10 steps and I published in the year 2008. I am sure that a lot of foreign language teachers use similar methodologies and will enjoy mixing and improving their own techniques by reading these children stories.

La metodología TPRS fue creada por Blaine Ray. Participé en un seminario en el año 2005. Después de tomar esta clase me di cuenta que estaba usando una técnica similar por los últimos 10 años de enseñar lenguas modernas.
