    As a civilian, can you create your own military pension-like retirement plan? You sure can, but it will take a bunch of discipline.

     

    Your wealth depends on your savings rate. You should be saving 50% of your income wherever you are in life.

     

    It will be challenging for a civilian to match the greatness of a military pension, but you can achieve equality in results. I recommend creating an income portfolio as the primary vehicle to success. If you are determined, you will succeed.
