I was born in Oakland, California. I went to Castlemont High and graduated in 1965. I had cancer when I was eighteen. Guess I could have died. But I learned over the years you have to think positive and know you will get through all the pain and suffering, and if you want something real bad, well, go for it! Don't get discouraged. Don't give up on your dreams. I wrote three books already. 1. Shirley Brown Book of Poetry 2. Sarah Flannagon in the Case of the Mystery Tunnel 3. Sarah Flanagan Mysteries. My favorites are Perry Mason, Mattlock, Murder She Wrote, and Castle. These are famous authors’ books, so I decided to write my own, Sarah Flanagan Mysteries.

A Brighter Day

As days come and days go

When each day is done, what will it show?

Will it be good, or will it be bad?

Will it end in happiness or just make you sad?

Make it a great day from the very start

You then can say you have done your part

Walk in a way that brings success

Each day will show your very best

Believe in yourself

And you will find

The best thing you can do

Is to bring peace to your mind

A Great Plan

There is a great plan set for your life

For hope and prosperity

Let go of the life of misery and strife

Marvelous deed you will see

Doubting runs the blessings away

From becoming a part of your day

And causes your joy to cease

Your happiness will surely decrease

The plan is to bring you to a place.

Where you are supplied with grace

To build you up to truly believe

A better life you can receive

A New Day

A new day has been given for all who will receive

It is a known fact the enemy will try to deceive

But everyone has been given weapons to succeed

Just trust and follow all the correct leads

May your life be filled with joy and grace

You have been given a special place

To shine the light so bright

Even in the darkest night

Let us remember whose creation we are

To Him, we give the praise

That we can go so very far

Because in our hearts, love forever stays

Let the day begin with a song in your heart

A song that will play a wonderful part

To bring much joy and peace

That will never ever cease

A song of love and happiness as well

To stay in your heart to dwell

Let it be a part of every day

As it brightens up your way

Give praise through what you do

As the melody helps you through
