    Prosperity Meditations - Susan Shumsky

    PART ONE

    UNLIMITED THINKING

    CHAPTER 1

Money Goes Where It Is Welcomed

Capital goes where it's welcome and

    stays where it's well treated.

—Walter B. Wriston, former CEO of Citibank

Money. What an extreme emotional charge is associated with that word! Why does money trigger people and make them a bit crazy? We have been brainwashed to believe money is evil. But is it evil to put food on your table, clothe yourself, pay your rent or mortgage, and settle your bills?

There is nothing inherently evil about money. It is simply a way to exchange goods, services, and energy. Sometimes human behavior can be evil. But that is not money's fault. Money does not have hands and feet that commit heinous deeds. So why blame money for bad human behavior?

The truth is money is power—the power to be effective in the world and fulfill your highest aspirations. There is nothing evil about using money for good. Money is not the work of the devil.

This book is a guide to greater abundance in every area: material, financial, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, environmental, global, universal, and other ways you may have not conceived. It can help you attain prosperity consciousness. What is that?

Prosperity consciousness is an intrinsic subconscious belief that you deserve to be wealthy, healthy, cared for, lavishly supplied, and wildly, passionately happy. True abundance is infinite joy, fullness, contentment, wholeness, and repletion.

Love is the key that unlocks prosperity consciousness. Love is the primal motivating energy that creates and sustains the universe—the glue that binds the cosmos together and that causes evolution and change. It opens the heart and attracts abundance.

The most powerful, potent form of love is divine love, which prospers and blesses you, moment-by-moment. Divine love and abundance walk hand-in-hand.

The most vital prerequisite to abundance is to love and care for yourself. If you hate money, you probably do not love yourself. You will push money away and struggle financially. Opening your heart to self-love can unlock the storehouse of infinite riches. That treasure trove consists of infinite creativity, intelligence, and power, and its source is unlimited love.

Let go of old concepts about prosperity. Welcome wealth in its essence as divine energy, underlying and generating the universe. This exquisite substance brings love, happiness, health, wealth, well-being, power, and wisdom. It is good, very good, perfection.

Anyone can tap this eternal fountain of infinitely circulating energy, which replenishes itself and gushes forth incessantly. It is yours for the taking. Dip your mind into this wellspring, hoist up the ambrosial nectar, and draw upon the divine substance day by day. Self-love is the key that attracts it into your life.

    CAN MEDITATION MAKE YOU PROSPEROUS?

Meditation is not generally associated with prosperity. Meditation is deemed a spiritual practice and therefore considered antithetical to wealth. It conjures visions of monks, nuns, and yogis taking vows of poverty and living in caves or on mountaintops. Puritanical values espouse poverty as a sacred virtue, and money as a loathed scourge that infects all who possess it. It is believed that spiritual people must be humble, meek, and poor, rather than powerful and successful.

The King James version of prosperity asserts: Money is the root of all evil; it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God; and blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. With such messages deeply embedded in our collective consciousness, no wonder poverty is ubiquitous.

Is it God's will for spiritual people to suffer privation? Is there something holy about hardship? I believe possession of wealth or the lack thereof does not determine your measure of virtue or your level of consciousness.

Whether provoked by envy or by self-righteous disdain, the poor often despise the wealthy and detest money. They feel unfairly punished while the select few are rewarded with the lion's share of riches. But the truth is there is no karmic lord in the sky dispensing privilege upon the elite. Your lot in life is determined solely by your life choices—choices that lead to wealth, to poverty, or something in between.

To magnetize wealth, first abandon the idea that spiritual people must be poor. Give up all hatred of money. Instead, welcome, accept, and love money. Let go of jealousy toward the affluent. And find out which faucet to turn on to draw upon an unlimited stream of opulence.

By practicing the methods in this book, you can tap the fountain of prosperity, increase self-love and self-worth, eliminate erroneous beliefs, attract abundance, and develop a new, fresh, optimistic, empowering attitude about money.

You have the power to create affluence in all areas of life. The Almighty is waiting for you to open to the unlimited riches of heaven that are already yours. You just need to accept and receive your birthright of boundless bounty.

Does poverty help spiritual people reach their laudable, idealistic aspirations? What would you do to heal the planet if unlimited resources were at your disposal? Would the world be a better place if people like you, who seek to do good, could access limitless wealth?

If you say yes, then this book can help you manifest your fondest dreams through its methods of mental alchemy, which can change your mind, and in turn, transform your life and benefit the planet.

Making no changes yields no results. Making changes that sharpen your focus on attracting greater abundance can bring spectacular results—if your intention is clear and your heart is sincere. Now is the time for action. Use this book to invite a new dawn of affluence. Welcome a powerful change in your consciousness that will result in a happier, healthier, more prosperous future.

    Let us get started now.

    CHAPTER 2

    Prosperous Awareness

Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.

    —Henry David Thoreau

In this chapter, you will practice methods that can expand your perception and realization of truth. With unbounded consciousness and unlimited vision, your underlying awareness, enduring attitude, and ongoing experience are to feel, see, and live an unrestricted life. That is prosperity consciousness.

    JOURNEY TO THE INFINITE

When you experience infinity on a regular basis, infinite possibilities arise. With unlimited consciousness, you can manifest life without limits in every area: material, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. To begin this journey, practice this meditation, and continue using it regularly.
