Mysterious/dangerous/mad science/paranormal boarding schools are my thing.

I like most of the art, especially the way the bodies move and flow. Certain things, like a character tucking her hair behind her ear, another sitting slightly slumped in a chair, another with legs crossed, look so real. But what I hate are the boobs. Like, one is always pointy. Triangular pointy. And the other is lopsided and differently shaped. It's like every girl in this boarding school is wearing a bra that's a sports bra on one boob and a pointy 60s bra on the other. Weird.

The kids themselves are based on stock characters, but, then, isn't that sort of the point of these things? They're avatars, they exist everywhere. The Breakfast Club taught us this.

Good series. Violent, full of mysteries and strange things.

This was a strange book, but I had to keep reading to find out what was going on. It's a bit violent, but the story and characters grabbed me and kept me reading. Of course it leaves you hanging- guess I'll have to read the next one.

I love this combination of prep academy meets horror meets mystery meets supernatural.

The first volume does a good job of introducing all the characters, hooking the reader and leaving the story teetering on edge.

I'm not sure how I feel about this graphic novel yet. It's about this prep school where weird things are going on. I'm not even sure what the weird things are yet, but I know lots of people die. Not a great description I know, but that's really the best I got for this. I think it may make more sense if I read more of them. I think I would read more of them if I was able to get them used or at a good discount.

A friend of mine was posting on tumblr about this series and it looked interesting enough for me to read and so I managed to get a copy. She was right, it was AWESOME. It's about a very creepy high school and some new students who are trying to fight back -- and it's not going very where. There's death and violence, there's gore and love and some of the best art I've seen in a graphic novel. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but it's perfect for me.

Not a great start. Very confusing and I felt I didn't really get to know any of the characters. Don't see me reading anymore in this series.

A group of teens from different countries and backgrounds converge on a prestigious prep school. They discover they all have the same birthday which is the beginning of mysterious events. There are creepy teachers, a weird ghost thing, and the new students find they are cut off from the outside and that their families seem to have lost all memory of them. The art work in very detailed and show off the well built physiques of the characters.

Six kids transfer to an elite private school where they are tortured both mentally and physically so that the school can get them to their full potential. Unfortunately the school doesn't mean full potential as in good grades, no one is quite sure what e

This book was a lot gorier then I thought it would be. Each of the characters have distinct voices and the ones we got background on definitely had interesting backgrounds. It's definitely a good book but I don't think it's for me. Somehow there just wasn't enough background on the schools purpose and some of the characters for me to justify continueing to read it. I don't mind weirdness and strange or violence but I need to know why and I guess right now b/c of the lack of knowledge it reads like senseless violence, which I'm not in the mood for.

If someone asked me to give them a summary of this book, I would have no words. It is an easy book to read quickly, but it is full of some of the creepiest images I have seen. I'm excited to red the second one.

I saw this series pitched as "LOST meets Runaways", a phrase which made me immediately drop what I was doing to check it out for myself. Although Morning Glories quickly spirals off in its own insane directions, it does indeed contain all the secretive mindfuckery of LOST and the troubled teen shenanigans of Runaways.

I loved the series so far, although its twisted nature and often-unlikable characters made me feel like I'm just in it to see will happen next at the worst boarding school ever invented. And despite how much I liked it, I'm hesitant to give a 5-star rating -- it's easy to dig yourself into an intriguing-looking hole of nonsensical mystery, but the hard part is tying it all back together in a satisfying way.

It's unclear now whether the rest of the series will follow through, but there are certainly enough twists and revelations to make this an extremely fun and addictive read.
