New Foreword

When in 2010, I set out to write this book I soon became aware that its content extended way beyond its target of 2012. The book was about much more than that. The more I wrote, the further the manuscript’s focus shifted and expanded towards something way bigger. It extended to encompass the state of the world and the state of humanity. And most importantly, the future of both. For this reason, I wanted to drop the 2012 from the title, but my ‘advisor’ convinced me to keep it.

The book was published and the reviews were fabulous! (you can read them on my website) Readers loved the book and so did I! But not long after, all went quiet. I knew that ‘2012’ on the cover deterred new readers from looking beyond it.

I told myself to let it go, but it kept visiting me. This book was like a small child who wants something and will keep asking until you give in. It wanted to be re born. And maybe, just maybe, this book is needed more now than when it was originally published. After all, I don’t believe in coincidences, but I do believe in Divine promptings.

When a client of mine from France emailed me a few months back to tell me she had just read the book and how much she loved it, I knew Life was encouraging me to re-publish. And so, here it is! Re published as, From Now to Eternity. I hope you enjoy reading it and that it helps you release any false fear or apprehension about the future. May it empower you in a genuine and loving way. May it encourage you to come to know and use the power within you to effect the change you want to see in your life and ultimately in our world.

This is a book about 2012 written by a numerologist, agreed. However there is much more to it than you might expect. It’s a spiritual work, a cautionary tale and a story with the power to heal. It’s the kind of book which you will want to read with pencil in hand, as there are so many insightful points and inspirational thoughts to write down.

Anna Belcastro has taken a long, hard and numerological look at what we can all expect in 2012, the year when the Mayan calendar famously runs out (and, as she rightly points out, a year considered crucial to the planet by a lot of people and groups beyond the Maya). It’s the year which some are predicting will bring ‘the end of days’.

Anna argues neither that the end of the world is nigh, nor that we are all going to sail through 2012 totally unscathed. Instead, using numerological theory applied to the past, present and future of our world, she presents to us ideas about what it possible – destruction versus evolution.

This is not in the least a fear-based book, despite its dealing with a subject which is frightening.

To present her case, Anna cites historical figures from Edgar Cayce to Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, and subjects ranging from spiritually-based incomes to karma. Through these references she very authoritatively reminds us of why there is indeed possible weight to the theory that 2012 could prove our undoing. However, she also helps make it clear how the ‘2’ in the new millennium dates from 2000 onwards can also help us not just avoid a catastrophic fate, but can even help us to achieve some kind of spiritual height hitherto believed impossible: ‘The mandate of the number two which governs this millennium is for peace and goodwill.’

You do not need to be a numerologist to understand her book, but by the end of it, you may well feel more inclined to delve further into the subject.

Anna relates to the reader all we need to know about the Major Time Cycles this planet has lived through and is living through, and with a very clear voice and apparently strong convictions shows us our options for despair or a higher destiny for all humans.

On (another) page, she writes: ‘The time period from 2008 to 2025 is the most significant time of human consciousness evolution in 1000 years’. Now seems a very good time to set aside fear about the future and to do all we can to live out our potential.

How This Book Came To Be

The calendar year 2012 has been a topic of conversation which has gained momentum in recent years, sometimes in fear and apprehension for what it portends, and sometimes in jest that such things could even be entertained by intelligent human beings. Perhaps you’re reading this book just out of curiosity, or perhaps you’re reading this book because you’re both concerned and interested to know what numerous experts in the field have predicted for 2012 and beyond.

After many years of study and research in the field of the meaning and application of numbers, I have come to understand that numbers do not make things happen, as some believe, but rather reflect what happens in the world and in our lives. The world is governed by Time Cycles, allotments of time that reveal past, present and future events. Time Cycles and other areas of Number Science are like a mirror. Yet Number Science is more than this, for in it is also contained the wisdom and guidance that allows us to develop character and to best experience life to ensure our ultimate success and prosperity. Time Cycles form the roadmap of life and of the world we inhabit.

There are times in our lives when we do things we had no intention of doing. But most of us can also comfortably say that once we commit a ‘yes’ to that something, it can feel so right that we often question why we didn’t think of it sooner. This is what happened to me. There is no doubt in my mind that I was set up to write this book. Set up, that is, by the powers that be, powers not of the earth.

Those who know me will tell you that I live predominantly on the thinking plane; I’m the kind of person who is more comfortable using reason and logic to arrive at solutions and conclusions than by using any other means. I demand proof for what is presented to me or for what I intend to present to another. That’s why I love working with numbers, because I can test and prove them. But even so, I must admit that I can see a synchronicity in my life that has led me to this point, a synchronicity which hasn’t come solely from the thinking plane, even if Higher Powers allowed me to entertain the idea that it was so.

In their wisdom the Higher Powers waited until I was ready, for such things cannot be forced upon us. That would be an affront to our free will, our freedom to choose. In its knowing, the Universal Mind chooses our destination, but allows us to choose the route to that destination. So, in the ninth year of the second half of my life, here I am, writing about things that have scared me no end in the past, and which at this stage of my life I have come to accept, not out of fear, for no one can accept such things out of fear, but from a kind of knowing – a knowing and a reverence for the world and humankind and its undeniable link and sameness to the Universal Mind, to God.

This is a serious matter for me, a matter of huge responsibility, because my intention is not only to present something to you which is comprehensible, but also something which you may consider applying in your life, something which can help you grow in spirit, and therefore in your true power. I must make it clear that I am neither a medium nor a clairvoyant. Another John Edward I am not. I am a Life Purpose Counsellor, and number is the medium in which I work. I interpret and apply numbers to enhance our experience of life and the world we live in. Time Cycles are but one aspect of this science which I have researched and developed to the stage presented here.

I will tell you unflinchingly that the same Source, the same Universal Mind that steered me away from establishing a career in psychology back in 1997, when I first attended Macquarie University, also steered me towards the study of numbers. This very Source lives in you, in me, and indeed in every living thing. It is ever ready and willing to guide us towards spiritual consciousness, which surely equates to happiness and prosperity on the earth plane. All you have to do is want it.

The stage is Set

It was a very hot November afternoon in 2009 and I was enjoying a leisurely lunch with two friends, Ann Wyatt and MaryAnne Xerri. Both Ann and MaryAnne had attended my workshops in previous years and had suggested we get together for lunch before Christmas. Ann is a retired schoolteacher and MaryAnne is a medium – one of those gifted people who communicate messages between us and those who are in spirit. We spent a delightful afternoon chatting and catching up on what was going on in the world and in our lives. Something happens when mature women get together for lunch; they turn into girls and lose all sense of real time. Before long we realised it was almost dinner time – we had to get home.

We walked out of Martha’s Café and as we made our way to our cars MaryAnne said to me, ‘They (her spirit guides) are asking me about your book.’ I asked, ‘What book?’ She replied, ‘They’re asking me about the book you’re writing.’ ‘Oh,’ I said, ‘Well, I’m doing an update on Numbers and I have a book on relationships that I’m planning to write.’ ‘No, not those,’ she cut in. ‘They’re saying what about 2012?’ And I replied, ‘2012? Oh yes, I’m doing a chapter on 2012 in Numbers.’ She came back with a resounding, ‘They’re asking about a book on 2012! They want you to write a book on 2012. Who better to write it than you??’ ‘They want me to write a whole book on 2012?’ I gasped in disbelief. ‘Uh … uh … I don’t know … uh’ – and then out came the words, ‘Okay, I can do it, yes I’ll do it, yes I can do that.’ And that’s how it happened. Or should I say, and that’s how it started!

I agreed to write this book because somehow all the pieces seemed to fit. Only a few weeks before this proposition was put to me, I had made up my mind that I would make writing my first priority and my main career path. What further convinced me was that in the eighteen months leading up to this impromptu revelation, which was also around the time my dear mother passed away, books on related topics were making their way to me. I now realised that they did so for this very reason, for this very book.

We Have Been Asleep For Too Long

While 2012 may have seemed a long way off before the turn of this century, we now find ourselves far too quickly approaching what some have predicted will be a catastrophic year. To be brutally blunt, many who gaze into the future believe that on 21 December 2012, at 11.11 am, our earth will be annihilated. That’s pretty scary stuff! But what is it about 2012 that makes far too many people apprehensive, and some of them so fearful they have resolved to build underground survival bunkers? Karmic numbers have been known to cause a stir in the past, but 2012 is definitely not a karmic number.

When we look at ‘2012’ we can see that it suggests no more than a year of the calendar. I cannot see any remote-viewing attachments to this date to suggest destruction or otherwise. It’s just a date comprised of numbers which indicate the world is entering its two thousand and twelfth year after the birth of Jesus Christ. Humanity has witnessed – and survived – thousands of new years over the centuries since we came into being, so why is such dire expectations for 2012? For such an epidemic of fear to have arisen, surely there must be a good reason behind it. Surely there must be substantial evidence to support a fear that has infiltrated the human psyche in such a profound and universal way.

If we are to make any sense of it, then maybe we should ask a very important question. ‘What is our reason for being here, or perchance, is there a reason for our being here?’ For if we are simply born to fill in the years between birth and death, then does it really matter what happens to us in the grand scheme of things? If you believe that death is all that awaits us, then it’s only a matter of time before we die and decompose. That’s the end of us – kaput, we are no more!

Perhaps you believe otherwise. Perhaps you are of my way of thinking. If you believe that life continues after death, if you are of the mind that death is a transition between the world of materiality and the world of spirit, then it’s an absolute, a given, that every day counts.
