After many years spent in the financial industry, I decide that I wanted a change. For that reason, I decided to do something that I have always wanted to do, but never thought I could. Write. I began writing in 2014 and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I hope that you will enjoy all of my books as much as I have enjoyed writing them.

    Acknowledgment

To my wonderful husband, who is with me heart, body, and soul through each word I write. If it weren’t for him my dream of writing would have never been fulfilled. I love you, sweetheart. And to my family, whom I also love dearly. Through their love and support, I can continue my passion for writing.

To the many readers, who took a chance on me and purchased my books. I hope that I can continue to fill your hearts with the passion I have grown to love.

Most of all I want to thank my incredible PA, Barbara Danks. I don’t know where I would be without her and to my wonderful Street Team (Athena Kelly, Lori Hammons, Kristen Ann Tanner, Marsha Black, Sallie Ann, Andrea Miles Rhoads). You ladies have been a godsend.

    ALANNAH

There was a somber feeling, and the silence didn’t help. When Roman took my hand, I looked back at Martin and felt sorry for him. Something very dark took over his soul. He could have killed me, and yet, I knew it wasn’t his fault. Still, it was best to tell him goodbye.

When we reached the front door, I could hear Martin clearly, even though my mind was still fuzzy. I never meant to hurt you, Lanie. I lost control. When I’m with you, all I can think about is Isabelle. I will never touch you again.

Trying to grasp what he said, I let go of Roman’s hand and turned to face Martin. Who is Isabelle?

Roman grabbed my hand once again, pulling me back to him. Lanie, it doesn’t matter who she was. Martin should never have done what he did to you. As he said, he was out of control, just as he was then. Let’s go.

As we left the house, the thought of never getting the answer I needed from Martin crossed my mind. It wasn’t to say that Roman didn’t know anything about her. Martin would have told me who she was, had Roman not stopped him. I would have gotten the answers I needed.

I was unable to wait any longer. The thought of not knowing more about who Isabelle was, was killing me. Staring at the road ahead without making eye contact with Roman, I asked, So who is she? Who is Isabelle?

Roman’s hand tightly gripped the steering wheel, and I could see the tension building. The muscles in his jaw ticked as he spoke. Isabelle was the woman in the picture. She was Martin’s sub.

You said was. What happened to her? I questioned.

The scene… was too intense, and he ended up getting carried away. She ended up dying.

Everything was beginning to make sense. I wondered if Isabelle's death had to do with being tied up. Did Martin tie her up as he had me?

Roman didn’t have to answer. I could tell by his expression that Martin did. No wonder he lost control when he was with me. I looked just like her, and all he could see was Isabelle. I wished I knew more about her. Where was she from? How did she come to be his submissive? Maybe she was just like me and a man as horrible as Master Winston trained her. I had a feeling I would never find out.

There was nothing but silence during the two-hour drive back to Portland. It was only after Roman pulled into his designated parking spot that he spoke. I’m going to order dinner, then finish up some things at the club. Tomorrow we are going away. Somewhere where I know I can keep you safe.

Safe. Why would you need to keep me safe? Martin said he would never touch me again. There is no reason to go away. I’m pretty sure he won’t come after me.

Not now, Lanie. You need to trust me on this.

When we entered Roman’s condo, he suggested that I freshen up before dinner arrived. I did need a shower, and there was no disputing that. Heading to my room, I heard him place the order for our dinner. Italian sounded wonderful. I could have eaten a horse.

After finishing dinner, Roman left for the club. I was alone in the condo, and there wasn’t much to do except watch television, which didn’t appeal to me. I didn’t know much about computers, but I knew it was the best place to find out information. And since Roman permitted me to use his any time, it was better than watching TV. Pushing from the couch, I headed to Roman’s office where his computer was. Taking a seat at his desk, I made myself comfortable and waited for his computer to fire up. What was I thinking? I had only watched Roman use the computer once and had never used it myself, let alone knowing how to get to the Internet once the main screen came up. When the computer came up, there were so many icons on the screen that I wasn’t sure which one I needed to click. Using his computer was a bad idea. With my luck, I would click on the wrong one and cause all kinds of problems.

    The best thing to do
