A Guide to Living the Scriptures is a manual that teaches how you can put the holy scriptures into practice. Reading the Bible and merely knowing the teachings of Christ are not enough. The true meaning of the words of the scriptures can only be realized through actual practice. It is also when we take positive actions in accordance with scriptures that changes can manifest in our life. Indeed, knowing the Bible is one thing, and following the commands of God is another, for even the demons know the teachings of Christ. If you want change -- real and significant change -- then you must do and obey the words of Jesus. 

 

A Guide to Living the Scriptures is also based on my own personal experiences as a follower of Christ. Hence, you can rest for sure that  we are not just talking about mere theories, but that we have also applied this divine knowledge with understanding. Of course, we must not boast of this understanding. Instead, we ought to be humble at all times and be open to the works and teachings of God. 

 

When we say "scriptures", know that we are referring to the sacred texts, also known as the holy Bible. However, it is worth noting that as a follower of Christ, we should put more emphasis on the teachings and words of Jesus Christ. Now, it should be noted that so many people are reading their bibles daily, but why is it that many of us are still too sinful and could not even feel the divine presence of God? We must understand that the scriptures are not God. Rather, the scriptures work like a medical prescription. Do not be like the others who end up worshipping their bibles. We have to realize that it is only when we actually live by the spirit of the scriptures and put the teachings into actual practice that we can realize the meaning of the sacred texts. For, indeed, the scriptures are meant to be lived, and not only to be read. 

 

A Guide to Living the Scriptures offers a helping hand to make your next Bible reading a more beautiful experience. It also gives useful pieces of advice on how you can be true to Jesus and be able to live His commands. According to Jesus, if we follow His words, then we are His disciples, indeed. But, we should understand that it is not just about doing what is written. Rather, that this decision in life to follow Christ is actually good for you. In fact, it might just be the best decision that you could ever do in your life: to follow God.

 

Following Jesus may not always be an easy thing to do. Indeed, there are times when you will have to struggle to do what is right. But, this is not actually a bad thing. In fact, this is how the soul usually grows. Just as gold is tested by fire, so is the soul tested by God. It is my hope that this book may be a guiding light that could help you in a time of need, so that you may find hope in the words of the scriptures and be always ready to follow our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ.
