    How to Read the Bible is your guide to reading and understanding the Bible. The Bible contains the holy scriptures with lots of amazing stories. Sadly, there are many people who read it without being able to penetrate into the divine teachings. Although we can interpret the Bible by the letter that kills, we can also understand it by the Spirit that gives life. 

     

    There are two main approaches to reading the scriptures: the Antiochian method and the Alexandrian method. The Antiochian method is to read the Bible at face value. This means that we ought to read and understand it by its very letter — by its literal meaning. Indeed, this is also a good way to read the Bible, and this is how most people do it. However, I find this limiting and difficult to apply. Hence, I prefer the Alexandrian method of reading the Bible. According to the Alexandrian method, we should not take the words of the Bible literally. Instead, we can take them as metaphors. This way, every story and line in the Bible can be revealed to us in a more meaningful way. This guide is more about reading the Bible in accordance with the Alexandrian method, where we interpret the Bible by the Spirit that gives life. 

     

    How to Read the Bible will teach you a way of reading the Bible that will shed new light to the divine verses. You will see just how the scriptures relate directly to you and not as if they were written thousands of years ago by people who did not even have a slight regard to your existence. When you read the Bible in this manner, Bible reading becomes a deep and profound meditation where you feel God's actual presence in your life. It is worth noting that this manner of reading the scriptures is not new. It has been practiced for centuries, even the monks and hermits of the ancients read the Bible in this manner. Fortunately, you can also do the same, and it is very easy to do it. After all, the Holy Spirit will guide you and reveal to you the wonders of the universe and the Divine. 


    How to Read the Bible is a light that shows a path to Jesus. May this guide lead you to the True Light, and may this help you come closer to Jesus Christ. All you need is a Bible, an open mind and heart, and a sincere desire to know and be with Jesus. The Jesus that we find in the scriptures is as alive today as He was thousands of years ago when He walked the Earth. Indeed, He is very much alive in your life. Let us begin this journey. It is a journey of love and holiness. By the time you finish reading this book, you will never see the scriptures the same way again, for the Bible will become more meaningful and overflowing with divine love. Are you ready?
