    Dedicated to

Societal issues which gave me the wisdom to come out of it and express it in writing.

    Preface

When I was twenty-five, I met my childhood friend after a decade accidentally at a shopping centre. After fifteen minutes of discussion about our whereabouts briefly, we decided to meet each other at her home the next day, which is very close to my vicinity. She works as a Chartered Accountant in Bangalore, but had come to Mumbai to visit her parents, managing her vacations together.

The next day, I managed to reach her place at around five in the evening. We had shared our childhood together for a few years, however, later, her career diverged in a different direction than mine. We were soon in different cities and we lost contact in our busy lives.

After so many years, when we met each other, we had a lot to discuss about our lives all this while.

My friend’s mother welcomed me with a cup of Coffee and some snacks. After having some formal words with her parents, we decided to go to her room for some relaxed discussions.

This book is an outcome of some of her realistic experiences that she decided to share with me, though she was very skeptical at the beginning.

Her life is a merry ride with a dark spot planted in her memories and a shackle that she unwinds at the end.

While we met after so many years, I never knew that I would hear such a story.

    Acknowledgements

This book is the outcome of the social issues faced by different people in the country. Some issues are worldwide and have been concealed in the hearts of many victims. This book is a consequence of personal issues of people, which were almost every time not brought into limelight.

I am eternally grateful to my husband, Praveen Balan, who stood beside me throughout my career and writing this book.

I would like to thank my friend, Tabish Shaikh, who reinvented me, and gave me the motivation to start my passion.

I would like to thank my family and extended family, who, indeed, were the backbone of all my success, so far.

I also thank my wonderful son, who besides being a two-and-a-half-year-old, managed to give me the time I required to finish this work. Special thanks to Dempo Kids for taking care of my son like their own and let me focus on my book with peace.

I am also thankful to my friend, Piyush Shah, who inversely, motivated me, like a family member would do, to provoke a person to achieve something.

I am grateful to those who believed my writing skills and purchased it.

Finally, I am thankful to all my book readers, who are the real persuaders.

    CHAPTER 1

Amyyyyyy screamed Ajay and held her when she was collapsing on the floor. Till the time, people could realize what had happened, the tall man who shot her disappeared. Amy was badly wounded and had no clue of what had happened in the last few minutes. Ajay and a crowd of around three hundred people were in dismay.

Few Days Ago – Delhi – Amy’s Rented Apartment

Amy came out of the steamy bathroom, wrapping her in a warm towel, humming Ajay’s favourite song. She was caressing her day since he was about to meet her after two months. The wait was about to end, she was thinking. She stood in front of mirror in her dressing room. She had a look at herself and thought How would it be if he was in front of me now Smiling, she slipped off her towel. Her shiny skin, slightly wet was alluring her beauty.

Droplets from her hair started strolling down all the way from her hair, caressing her hips till the curves
