Chapter 1
Dorothy is back at home after a long adventure in world of OZ more known as Emerald city.
She dreams with her friends the tinman with a heart, the fearless lion and the brainy scarecrow, dancing and singing walking the yellow brick road.
The puppy sleeps by her bed.
She wishes that she could see her friends and the great Wizard of OZ.
And soon…… she will.
Dream after dream the time goes by and her heart his sad. To make things worse her puppy died in his sleep as he wasn’t a puppy anymore. But this night the dream became real.
Dorothy hear me. It is me, the great Wizard of OZ, now I’m called the Wizard of WAS. The old evil witch of the west was living in the hearts of evil people who were still living in OZ. Now she has awakened and gathered all her evil followers and surrounded the Wizard of OZ castle and call me the Wizard of WAS instead. Glinda the Good Witch of the South kept the good people of OZ in the castle but the surroundings are all dark and gloomy and the Evil Witch keeps your friends in her castle waiting for you to come and rescue them, so that she can have her revenge on you. One good thing about is that people of Emerald city, as you know, named it City of OZ, in my honour, me the Wizard of OZ. Though the Evil Witch says
I WAS, but I’m not anymore. So, she calls me the Wizard of WAS.
Glinda wants you to help the bad people on her side to remember the good they had in them before their souls were taken by the Evil Witch! Wake up Dorothy……"
And when Dorothy woke up from her dream she was back in OZ at the beginning of the Yellow Brick Road.
The Yellow Brick Road was still the same but everything else was different. She could see at a distance two castles one with very high dark towers and dead plants and trees, you could also see the crows flying around the evil castle. And suddenly a shadow passed by. It was a grey dragon that flew towards the Evil Castle. Dorothy was sure he saw her and now he was going to tell the Evil Witch.
Oh, what will I do? I have to get to the Wizard of OZ before the Evil Witch gets me.
Suddenly a giant white swan appeared and landed in front of Dorothy.
You must be sent by the Good Witch, Glinda!
Yes, Glinda and Wizard of Was, know you are here. Unfortunately, so does the Wicked Witch. She has spies everywhere!
What can I do?
Dorothy asked nervously.
Jump on my back I fly you to OZ.
Is that castle on the right with golden roof?
Yes, that is it.
But is very close to the castle from the Wicked Witch!
Yes. The Wicked Witch wants us to feel fear just by knowing she is opposite our castle!
She is eviller that she used to be! Let’s go swan fly away!
Dorothy said she was scared of flying but soon she started enjoying the ride on the swan.
Soon the dragon started chasing them, trying to bite the swan. Fortunately the swan was an expert flier and escaped all the attempts that the dragon did to catch them.
Soon he will throw fire on us Mr. swan!
Don’t worry Dorothy this dragon hasn’t got the skill of throwing fire. He is too young. He doesn’t know good from evil. At least not yet.
Poor dragon, he doesn’t know that the Evil Witch is just taking advantage of his naiveness. Still he is a good flier!
The swan was nearly by the castle of the Wizard of Was. When the dragon tried once more to bite the swan’s tail. The swan flew low, by the dead trees around the Castle of OZ (now named WAS).
The dragon tried to fly lower too, but as he was so big, he crashed against the
Stone tree. Dorothy looked back and asked the swan:
Mr, swan stop here. The dragon seems injured.
But Dorothy as soon as he wakes up he will eat us!
Nerveless I have to help him!
The swan landed and Dorothy climb down from the swan’s back. Slowly walked near the dragon, who had the eyes closed.
Mr. dragon. Are you alright? Wake up!
The dragon opened one eye, and as he saw Dorothy he tried to bite her, but he couldn’t move. Dorothy moved just in time before he bit her.
Mr. dragon your wing is broken.
The dragon tried to move his wings but they wouldn’t move. Dorothy tried to get near him again and this time he didn’t try to bite her, he just stared at Dorothy who pated his jaw.
There Mr. dragon, we will take you to OZ castle and we fix your wing!
But Dorothy. He is evil, he will kill all of us as soon as he gets in the castle!
The swan told Dorothy amazed at her idea.
Don’t worry I send a thought message to Glinda. She will help us taking the Dragon to OZ.
Dorothy closed her eyes and send a thought to the Good Witch of the South Glinda.
Glinda. If you can hear me, come and help us. This poor young dragon from the Evil Witch is hurt.
Soon a white figure appeared in the sky coming from the castle of OZ.
Glinda you heard me. Huh I’m so happy to see you again!
Dorothy, I’m so glad to see you again. You have still a good heart. Trying to help that poor dragon.
Can you help us?
Dorothy asked.
Yes, just a bit of good magic!
and Glinda waved her wand and a glow of magic surrounded the dragon, who seemed scared. The magic ray lifted the dragon in the air and Glinda flew with him back to castle of OZ.
As they arrived at the castle with the golden roofs, Glinda placed the dragon in the main square and all the good people seemed frightened, so Glinda said:
Dear people of OZ this poor dragon only knows the evil that Wicked Witch taught him. Let’s help him and show him that there is still good people in the land of OZ!
The people stared at Glinda and then stared at Dorothy who said:
Good people of OZ I’m Dorothy as you probably remember me. Let’s fight the Wicked Witch with the goodness of our hearts. Let’s start by helping this poor Dragon. Hurray people of OZ!!!!
and the people of Oz cheered back.
Hurray Land of OZ.
they all said.
Soon they all were helping the dragon. Giving him food and Glinda used her magic to fix his wing. The dragon was enjoying the attention, and soon became very found of the people of OZ.
As everyone was fussing around the dragon the Wizard made his appearance in side of a floating globe with wings.
Everyone stepped aside so that the Wizard could land in the square by the dragon.
The dragon was surprised as he never had seen a flying globe with wings but no head.
Welcome back Dorothy. I can see that you are working your good magic already. With that young dragon!
Wizard….
Dorothy smiled and run to hug the Wizard.
Dorothy, you can call me Oscar!
UHHH, I remember Oscar Zorcaster Phadtig Isaac Norman Henkle…… and so on!
And Dorothy giggled at the real long name of the Wizard.
As I said Dorothy, you are better off calling me Oscar, Oscar Diggs. Ha ha ha ha.
Everyone laughed at the joke.
Now Dorothy let’s go to the castle and discuss the subject of getting rid of the Wicked Witch for good!
Glinda and Dorothy followed the Wizard whilst the people of OZ kept on fussing around the cute young dragon.
Here we are Dorothy. This is my quarters as you remember. Have a rest and I ask someone to bring us some food and then we discuss our strategies to fight the Witch.
I am listening, but yes I admit I would like to eat first. I’m a bit hungry.
By the way Dorothy, my new invention is called Disc Gramophone. As you can see, you place a disc and it plays music. I’m considering call it a Compact Disc Player. Or just call it CD Player.
Wow Wizard you are truly a Wizard. Let’s hear it.
And the Wizard pressed a button and the CD Player started playing music. Mostly classic of course.
Oscar. I can easily play music with my Magic. But I agree you are an amazing inventor!
Glinda said smiling at them.
Yes, Wizard people think you are a real Wizard. And to be truthful your inventions are true magic!
