Power of the Blood - Robert L. Shepherd

    INTRODUCTION

The blood of Christ has power in Heaven, on earth and beneath the earth. There's unlimited and eternal power in the blood of Jesus Christ.

For many years, it was in my heart to write about the power of the blood...but God would not allow me, until now. In the meantime, I wrote other books, such as The Power of Grace and The Power of Love...but finally, God has released me to write: The Power of The Blood.

In Philippians chapter 2, verses 5 through 11, it reads, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in the earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Since the Son of God took upon Himself the form of a man and became obedient to the death of the cross by shedding HIS OWN precious blood; God the Father, has highly exalted HIM and has given HIM a Name that is above every name... At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow; of things in heaven, of thing in the earth and things beneath the earth—and every tongue must confess that JESUS IS LORD to the glory of God the Father. Everything that has breath must one day give homage to the Son of God, because our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ shed His own precious blood on a rugged Roman cross to pay the price for this honor,... Christ, our God, hung on a tree.

Because of the shedding of Christ's blood on the cross; one day—every unwilling obstinate knee and every obedient-willing knee shall bow... And every tongue shall confess that JESUS is Lord...thank God for the blood of Christ!

    Hallelujah!

There's power in the blood and in the NAME of Jesus.

I will close the introduction of this book with a text from Revelations chapter 19, verses 11-13: Revelations "19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God."

Our Lord and Savior is coming back one day—not as a crucified LAMB, but as a glorified KING and as the invincible LION of the Tribe of JUDAH; with His robe dipped and drenched in His own blood. Hallelujah!!!

Hope you enjoy this book. And I prayerfully hope that you accept the propitiation of Christ's blood for the remission and forgiveness of your sin.

    God bless you!

    Your evangelist, brother and friend;

    Robert L. Shepherd Jr.

    CHAPTER 1

The Sinless Uncontaminated Blood of the Son of God

There is power in the blood of Christ because Christ's blood is a pure and uncontaminated blood; created by God the Father and inseminated through a seed, into the womb of a young virgin girl named Mary, by the Holy Spirit for the sole purpose of delivering men and women from sin and saving men and women from death and hell. The wages of sin is death... Therefore, to deliver men and women from sin; a death penalty debt would have to be paid—blood would have to be shed as a sacrificial act of bringing man back to God. This debt would have to be paid in order to save the human race from the penalty of sin which had now cursed the earth. This debt or penalty became due the moment Adam and Eve willfully disobeyed their loving God and Creator and gave HIS archenemy, the devil, the legal right to govern their lives and the lives of their future heirs which would be born upon the planet earth— which includes you and me.

The thief or devil's objective is only to steal, kill and to destroy, but the Son of God entered into the earth in the form of a man and gave his life. so that men and women could have life and life more abundantly.

The book of Hebrews acknowledges that without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sin. Therefore, in order to abate the wrath of God against sin, the blood of thousands upon thousands of animals were sacrificed by Old Testament priests as an obedient act to appease God and as an atonement for sin. But God had a better plan and a more permanent and more suitable solution to restore mankind back to Himself... In due season, He would send his only begotten Son into the earth as the answer to the Sin Problem.

Matthew 1: 18-20 reads, "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, Before They Came Together,
