About this ebook
There's a harshness in the air; the season is changing its colors. The rain is chilled, icy to the touch, and the sky, filled with melancholy. Your search for warmth has brought you here; you starve for something profound. You require something that will resonate with your soul. Despite how cold, you're determined to grow. And with these words, you bloom, a winter rose.

AGAINST THE ROPES
ALL ABOARD
ALL THE MAPS I FOUND ALWAYS LEAD ME TO YOU
A PINCH OF LIGHT
AT NIGHT, IT ALL MAKES SENSE
BEFORE IT BEGINS
BLESSINGS COME IN ALL FORMS
BORN WITH CAPES ON
BROKEN THINGS LEAD TO NEW THINGS
CHASING WATERFALLS
HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CAN’T LET GO
HOW THINGS BECOME COLD
I DO NOT MAKE THE RULES
I MET A GIRL AND SHE BROKE MY HEART AND I WAS NEVER THE SAME AFTER
IT COMES LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT
RERUNS NEVER GET OLD
RUN WITH THE HUNTED
SOMETIMES YOU’RE THE HERO SOMETIMES YOU SAVE YOURSELF
THE DAY YOU GET YOUR WINGS
THE DOORS ARE OPEN
THE GARDEN OF PEOPLE
THE GIFT AND THE CURSE
THE INVITATION
THE LAST MESSAGE TO MY FRIEND
THE LAST TIME YOU SAW EACH OTHER
THE MOMENT YOU REALIZE THE LIGHT IN YOUR BODY
THE MOMENT YOU WAKE UP
THE PLAYBACK
THERE IS ALWAYS A LITTLE MORE TIME
THE SEARCH IS NEVER OVER
THE THINGS WE SHARE
THE TIMES YOU’VE LEARNED TO LET GO
THE WINDOWS ARE OPEN
THINGS FALL APART
THINGS THAT JUST HURT
TO BEGIN
UNTITLED ONE
UNTITLED TWO
UNTITLED THREE
WHAT HAPPENS IF I THINK TOO MUCH
WHEN A HELPING HAND IS YOUR SAVIOR
WHEN FEELINGS BECOME DAGGERS
WHEN HOPE CLEARS YOUR HEART
WHEN MIRACLES HAPPEN
WHEN POEMS SPEAK MORE THAN THE TRUTH
WHEN THE GLASS IS HALF FULL
WHEN THE SUN RISES
WHEN WHAT YOU FEEL WITHIN OUTGROWS YOUR BODY
WHEN YOU APPRECIATE PEOPLE BETTER THAN YOU DID THE NIGHT BEFORE
WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CAN’T MOVE
WHEN YOU REEK OF LOVE
WHEN YOUR HEART IS BIGGER THAN YOUR BODY
WHEN YOUR HOME DOESN’T FEEL LIKE HOME
WHEN YOUR LEGS REFUSE TO FALL
WHEN YOUR MOUTH DOESN’T MATTER
WHEN YOU THOUGHT OTHERWISE
WHERE THE FLOWERS GROW
WHY DO THEY LEAVE AND never return?
YOU GIVE THEM THE WORLD
YOUR CHEST IS A POT OF GOLD
YOU, TOO, CAN HEAL THEM

TO BEGIN
Don’t be
so hard on yourself.
Be kind
to yourself.
No one knows
what you’ve been through
better than
you.
And no one
is going to give you
the kind of love
you deserve
other than
yourself.
Be kind to yourself.
Be good to yourself.
Take care
of yourself.
It may take
some time.
And it may take
some trials and tribulations
to get
to that point.
But believe me
when I say
in the end,
it will be
the greatest gift
you have ever
received.
Be kind to yourself.
Love yourself.
And be patient
with yourself.
You deserve these types
of soft things
and a lot more
than you think.
You know it.
And I know it, too.
