About this ebook

The inspiration for my poems come from within, these poems are my personal thanks to the Lord for the many blessings he has bestowed on me. The giving of thanks is what I try to reflect in my words, along with a dose of reality.

Author

John Rosario Sr.

My name is John Rosario, Sr. I was born in the USA, but of a Puerto Rican heritage. I’m prone to champion the downtrodden, those who live in a world where they seemingly have very little. I am a very proud father of three children, John, Jeremy and Christina. I enjoy being a member of the Grace Bible Community Church in Newington, Connecticut. My pastor is Rodney Beaulieu. This man has a gift.

    A FATHERS SALT

A simple reminder for you to see

That our Father is there continuously,

Of course he’ll be present for parties and fairs

Even there when you say you don’t care,

He’s never too late whenever you’d fall

With words to the wise on trips to the mall,

He’s there to correct whenever it’s needed

Laying the law down if lines aren’t heeded,

And as we get older we live by new rules

And they are there to help prevent fools,

We all need our Father regardless of age

Proving his salt, much more than a sage,

Since he drew the line he wants to be sure

Your straight in the narrow when life’s obscure,

So leave in the past those petty tirades

And be a grand master in your lifes’ parade,

But if by chance you’ve broken a rule

There is a reason that you’re not a mule,

So always remember who has you in Grace

Yup, it’s the Father who’s setting the pace
