It is pleasant to write, read, watch, and hear stories of ghost or paranormal activities, but the writer would not dare confront them. Ghost stories and tales of haunted locations are spread across the world. People hunt
out the reality of the ghost stories in an attempt to verify such existence.
The story in this book is based on true stories with some elements reimagined for the reader’s pleasure. Any similarities to any other individual’s experience are purely coincidental.
Ayon, the son of an uneducated village farmer dreamt of becoming an Engineer. His determination awarded him a place at university in a nearby town where he was obtained a Masters degree in science. However, the sudden death of his Father resulted in his dream job remaining in his imagination. He gave up his further studies and took the burden to look after his Mother, Sister and Auntie.
Under compulsion by her wedded wife, parents and in order to protect her illicit pregnancy, Bonolata tried to trap Ayon into marrying her. A village young man with qualification, money and handsome. Any girl will fall in love with him.
To Ayon, Bonolata was nothing but a ‘ghost’ nested on his shoulder. She had no feelings of love or respect for Ayon and his relatives. She was a greedy, selfish and conceited woman. She believed she could deceive him with her claims that Ayon had fathered her child whilst demanding substantial compensation. His education attracted her greed. She was short-sighted and she thought she could twist him around her little finger. Her lover, name, the scoundrel who had concocted this plan, assured her that would he would support her in the trick to fool Ayon using threatening force where necessary. An unexpected twist results in Bonolata’s secret being, her lover fleeing, leaving her reputation in ruins.
In University, Ayon liked a girl in his class but due to his shyness he never talked to her. Because he never pursued her he was unsure if it was true love or just a liking. Many years later, they bumped into one another in Kharakpur hospital. Feelings that he had surpressed rose again, and they fell in love with each other.

39984.pngCHAPTER 1
39987.pngThere is a trend Where the tiger fears, night falls faster
if this is true then Where ghost fears, night falls faster
must be true?
This has had happened to Ayon’s life, bolt from blue, a female ghost nested on his shoulder and then darkness fell on him. The ghost was none but his wedded wife ‘Bonolata’. She was a selfish, greedy, and envious woman with a high opinion of herself. She (ghost) couldn’t herm him Ayon
in fact she helped Ayon to find his true lover from his college life "Adity". Whom he used to like from his college life but could not tell her the three sweet little words I love you
. Adity also never told him that she too loves him. On finishing the college they got separated and did not see each other good few years. They didn’t have their address, or telephone number to contact. They both took it granted that they had lost each other forever. It so happened they bumped into each other in the hospital casualty department and their love rose again.
To get rid of the unwanted guest (Ghost) from his shoulder, he called an exorcise the most reputable lawyer
in that area, Mr Animesh Halder
, a renowned, established lawyer, in his village, at that time. People knew him through his work, far and wide. It wasn’t a difficult problem for him to drive away the ‘Un wanted ghost’ from Ayon’s life forever, by enchanting the ‘Mantra’ of legal proceeding, before the ghost could do any herm to him, his mother or aunty. The ghost could not harm Ayon, infect she did good to him. You would know, how she helped Ayon to find her lover, if you read this story further.
Ayon was unaware of his wife’s sordid affairs with her cousin. It was only after their marriage he came to know his wife’s actual character. To tell the truth Bonolata never loved, or had any feeling for Ayon. She was too proud of herself. She would like to have everything she fancies. She had no manners. Ayon was just opposite, sober, well mannered, and no pride. He respects every one every creatures of God in this Universe.
Pushing away his bad thoughts from his mind, Ayon thought of his mother and aunty. They suffered a lot last few months, since his marriage. They suffered tension, anxiety due to her ill behavior towards Ayon and his family. She wanted the best of everything; to her it was a fun. She loves troubling others, lough at them seeing others suffering. But at the end she lost what she had.
This may be a fairy tale bedside story, but nonetheless it is partly true. This news went far and wide. There was no one in his village, who hadn’t heard or knew about the futile marriage of Ayon. Whatever I have heard or seen with my own eyes I tried to put it down for you to be careful, to protect yourself from being caught by the unwanted ghost. Because all the "exorcise", or lawyer might not protect you from such a ghost and you would pay a heavy price for that. You can say Ayon’s marriage was an accident, or a terrifying nightmare. Certainly it was a blunder from their part.
Ayon is a long time friend of mine. He introduced me to his girlfriend Adity some time after his divorce with his previous wife ‘Bonolota’. Ayon was not prepared to marry Bonolata at that time he had ambition in his life. He had just finished his university degree and wanted to be an Engineer from "Kharakpur IIT". He had to give up his hope, ambition due to premature death of his father. His father’s sudden death after a short illness brought darkness in his life. He gave up his ambition and started to look after his father’s business of farming. As a young man he was not aware of the complex marriage life in the society. And was not prepared for that, but he was compelled to carry the unwanted ghost in his shoulder for few months. She married him only for his tangible property.
He wanted to achieve a higher degree from Kharakpur IIT (Technology collage) and have a prestigious position in the society. His father’s sudden demise sattred his, dream into pieces all his ambitions also died with his father. Since then, he stopped dreaming for his future. Now he has taken over his father’s farming business, taken the burden of looking after the family. As he is the only son, all responsibility was on his shoulder. He is working hard day and night to make his business a success. At that time their business was not running profitable and viable. He understood it need improvement and investment. They had only some farming land and the land was not fertile, unsuitable to cultivate paddy as a main crop. The yield was poor and it required improvement.
Their house is situated in the village called Chabka
on the south bank of the river Kansabati
. Not far from near by town. Often they go to City of Kharakpur and Midnapur to buy grocery, agricultural product. Ayon stopped growing paddy, instead he decided to grow fruits and vegetables. Which has great demand in the local market and good profit, in a short time. He believes honest, simple living. It was an addiction to him. Which he could not give up like those dishonest people or drug addicts, alcohol addicts who cannot give up their addiction easily.
He started growing Lemon, lime, Papaya, guava, and Banana, yield was good, profit also was good and in winter he grew green vegetables like cauliflower, cabbage, kohlrabi, brinjal, spinach, beans, Tomato’s etc. All these fruits and vegetables are in high demand in the local market and good income. Within a short time he turned his fortune. His loss making business turned in to a profitable one.
When he took the business in his own hand, after his father’s death, he had only two Bigha land 2/3 acre
.
This was not enough to run a farming business. He bought some land taking loan from the bank and some land on lease. Thus gradually he managed to expand his business. Although he was a son of a farmer on his spare time he helped his father in the field but he never hold plough in his hand. He was educated in the college. As he was intelligent full of enthusiasm, it did not take long for him to learn farming. Many land in that area was unsuitable to grow paddy, so nobody was dare to venture any new project in that area. Ayon took it as a challenge to do something and utilize the land for every ones benefit. He thought about his business a lot. He studied through Internet and talked to the agriculture department for their advice and guidance.
Agricultural office was very helpful to him. Anything he needs to know he can ring them or visit to the office at any time, and get valuable advice. They advised him, what short of crop is suitable for what type of land and how to sow them. They advised him common infections early sigh and pest control. He leased some unfertile lands and converted into a profitable farm using organic fertilizer. Though he does not like using chemical fertilizer to increase yields, but some time it was necessary. After preparing the soil using organic fertilizer he left it for two weeks and then planted banana trees and other trees.
He had a pond in front of his house was used to be a fish farm. There were various type of fish in the pond e.g. Rohu. Katla, Mirgel etc. He used to catch fish in the afternoon by fishing rods, but now, he does not catch fish. He feeds them by his own hand. We keep various colored fish in the aquarium in our house. His pond is a big aquarium for him. He loves his fishes as his family members. In the afternoon when he feels tired he sits beside the pond and his tiredness vanishes instantly and he feels fresh.
In front and rear of his house he planted various flower and fruit plants he cares them personally.
He often went to agricultural office to discuss various issues he is facing and what precaution is necessary to prevent such issues in future. How to improve crops! Within a short time he became friendly with them.
He leased some unfertile land and bought some land taking loan from bank. He dug holes about 8-10 feet apart and filled the holes with organic fertilizer for banana plantation. Two weeks later he planted banana plants. It took 5-6 weeks for the banana plants to grow and it took 7-8 months to have fruits. It doesn’t need extra irrigation unless it is drought. It gives good yield in short period of time. The bare land in between the banana trees were used to cultivate other crops like potatoes, or green vegetables in winter. No land remains uncultivated in his firm. He discussed with his employees and decided to grow Guava. Agricultural officers inspected the land and gave their opinion, if guava can be grown in his land and what type of guava will be suitable. It takes time to grow. Like banana plantation he dug holes in the ground and covered it with organic fertilizer for 2-3 weeks and then planted the guava tree. Though it takes time to grow but the yield is very good. He used to buy plants from the nursery, which is expensive. To reduce the expenses he does not buy the plants anymore. To grow from seeds it takes long time, instead he does grafting. It is a laborious process, hard work, but rewarding. You can have as many trees as you like in a short time. To have a bigger fruit, he removed 1-2 flowers from the bunch and leaves rest of the flower to grow into bigger size fruits. When the fruits are reasonable size then he covered the growing fruit with paper bag to protect from insects, bad weather. It does not require irrigation. But during dry season needs water; he has provision for that also.
There were no fence in his farm animal used to destroy his yield, and thief’s used to still fruits. He fenced his garden to protect from animals destroying the crop and human stilling the fruits. He introduced weekly meeting with all the employees to discuss about any issue needs to be address urgently with everybody’s consent. It gave unity and reliability among themselves. Moreover he introduced the scheme, employees would get monthly salary and on the top of that a percentage of the profit as a result they became more interested to work hard and produce more yield. Ayon was a very simple, honest person and friendly to everyone. His employee’s loves him very much. He encouraged his employee’s by having regular meetings and advice them how to improve the productivity. In the committee meeting once ‘He ask Babul, you are looking after the guava garden and you know what fertilizer to be used for guava trees?’
‘Babul replied yes, ‘if you use TSP potash, urea then you get a good yield.’
Ayon said, we don’t do animal farming, so we buy our organic fertilizer from neighboring poultry firm, and the cost of manure and transport is high.
Trees gets various type of infections- viral, and fungal that’s the time when agricultural department’s help is very important. Treatment should be immediate as soon as signs of infection are detected. ‘If you see any sign of infection please inform me immediately for urgent treatment. If I’m not available in my absence my deputy should be informed immediately.’
In no time his farm expanded. ‘You know I go to every garden to inspect myself, the other day I saw lot of papaya in the trees but, when I visited the garden following day I noticed some papaya’s are missing. I feel our security needs to be increase at night.’
The pond in front of their house is about 40 meter long and 30meter wide. Solidly build stairs leading to water on one side in front of their house. The entrance of the house leading to the front gate is about 20 meter away, and is covered with lose pebble stone. Any car can come and go easily. By the side of the road various type of flower and fruits trees gives a pleasant atmosphere. The land is fertile and any plants or tree grows easily and gives good yield.
Their house was build by his grand father many years ago, which was in a shattered condition, now it was needed urgent attention. Ayon decided not to repair the house but to rebuild a new house according to their need and choice. He browses through Internet and after viewing few houses he designed a new house according to their necessity. His mother and aunty approved that. He talked to a builder and a new house of their
