    Dedication

This story was planned when I saw a middle-aged woman opposite to my flat in abandoned way three years ago, but time always is stronger than our thought. Now time has permitted to write a story, Fallen Leaf My writing would not be so advanced without my husband Mr. Swapan Purkayastha who meticulously reads the story and suggests me change or add a few sentences.

I am thankful to Mr. Swapan Moni for writing the foreword for the story. I requested him to write something about the story, and he was very enthusiastic to write foreword for the special story Fallen Leaf.

I am always grateful to my Maa (96 Years) who passed away recently and Baba who showed me the light of Earth and always encouraged me to tread my chosen path.

I am grateful to Ukiyoto Publishing for selecting my story book Fallen Leaf for readers.

Last but not the least, I am grateful to all my readers and reviewers for reading the book and critically writing the reviews.

    Preface

The book, Fallen Leaf is about a woman who I met opposite to my flat among the crowd. This dirty looking girl with messy hair was scratching her body left and right. Due to lack of care and hygiene might have been engaged in such activity and unruliness that resulted in the state of being. Looking at the lady everyone may think that she was suffering from schizophrenia.

I would like to tell the young girls not to jump onto any unknown place which you have never visited. Acting place or TV centre cannot be a real place. It is the illusion of life. What you see in movies or TV is not the truth. It is the picture which you see when you travel in a train. The far away moon moving along with our train is the reality.

Life and death are not in anybody’s hand. This nature is so beautiful with variants colour and creation. Death is only darkness where light doesn’t pass. Even the dark clouds portray a spectrum of rainbow colours.

    Foreword

Fallen Leaf instills in me to write a foreword. Jashodhara Purkayastha has had a forte in expressing a subject to make it interesting since her teaching days.

Every incident in Life is unknown till the end and this suspense is shown as beautiful colours. The belief and faith created flows along with her
