    God’s Creation¹

    CHAPTER ONE

    59926.png

    Creation Begins

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). In this verse God needs no introduction, because it is understood that He exists and always has!

When God created the heavens, He created three of them. They are: 1.) 3rd Heaven, which is His home; 2.) 2nd heaven, which is the universe and 3.) the 1st heaven which is the firmament, or the earth’s atmosphere. The term ‘heavens" is found more than a few times in the Bible.²

We do not know very much about the 3rd Heaven, and the apostle Paul was reluctant to tell us about it. But we do know from what Paul said that it is an awesome place (2 Corinthians 12:2-4).³

We are learning more and more about our universe as we send up space probes, and we know a great deal about our atmosphere because of scientific study.

God created in three stages, or realms. The creation of human beings and their home was the third realm God created, the angelic realm being the 2nd, as also the Universe being the 1st. We know that the angelic realm was the 2nd realm because, darkness in Genesis 1:2 is ‘choshek’ in the Hebrew language and means misery, destruction, death, sorrow, [and] wickedness. ⁴ This being the case, Satan and his angels were on the earth and arrived sometime between verses one and two.

This also means that before this time Satan fell from grace (Revelation 12:4a; Ezekiel 28:17; Isaiah 14:12-15; Luke 10:17-19), which made it necessary for him to have been created, along with the myriad of other angels, before mankind was created.

The creation of the third realm, which is us and our home, begins where scripture says in Genesis 1:2, And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. This actually starts that realm of creation where there are six 24-hour periods of Jesus Christ creating everything (Colossians 1:16) for us as human beings.

And this realm started when the presence of God was there.

Since Satan and his cohorts were on earth, this is when God’s Spirit put them in their place when He hovered over the face of the waters. The unfinished, raw earth was now ready to have human beings living there, because God’s presence was there!

We know the six days were 24-hoir periods because the evening and the morning always means a 24-hour period.⁶ (However, the term was not mentioned for the length of the seventh day, because with God everything is an eternal now until he steps into the time He created for us. But I think He rested for 24 hours as an example for mankind.)

With the hovering in verse two He was planning everything out for us; however, we were in his mind already (Ephesians 1:3,4).

And then God said in verse three, Let there be light, and this is when He started the sun and stars on fire and the electromagnetic spectrum was created. ⁷ When the sun came on the scene in Genesis 1:14-19, which started the fourth day of creation, God brought this electromagnetic light to earth instantly. This also happened in John 6:21 when Jesus and the disciples were in a boat that went immediately to shore.

So now the plant realm that Jesus created on the third day had sunlight for their photosynthesis. So, the light that was created that 1st day of creation was the same as the electromagnetic light from the sun.

    But night and day were
