Preface
35649.pngGod has never let me let go of my dreams One day a scripture popped up on Celebrate Recovery’s FB page that touched my heart, inspired me and pushed me forward! You see we needed to get busy and finish this book! For the past year hubby Daniel and I had been turning our original Celebrate Recovery Testimony into a book. But it was only about 70 per cent complete! I took the lead since I love to write and I have good organizational skills. However, for months I had been letting ministry, family, camping, traveling get in the way. I suppose I needed a push from God. The following scripture made me stop and think girl you and Danny ain’t gonna live forever, so you better get busy and finish your book!
God’s Word says –
"Write down for the coming generation what the Lord
has done, so that people not yet born will praise Him"
Psalms 102:18
Wow! I suddenly realized that -no matter what it takes, we needed to tell our story, not just for our family, but for all those reading this book. We love to give others HOPE! Twenty years ago God begin to transform our lives and our broken marriage. So the way we want to PRAISE and GLORIFY Him is by sharing HOW His divine intervention took our resentful and hardened hearts and turned us into grateful & joyful servants by giving us a second chance at marriage! We want to share how God’s Word comes alive as He demonstrates in our testimony how:
His LOVE NEVER FAILS. It always protects, always
trusts, always hopes and always perseveres.
(1 Cor 13:7-8).
This is why we chose "Love Never Fails" for the title of our book. The other reason that this title means so much to us is remembering that Sunday, July 7, 2002 when our church Pastor Scott used our testimony of marriage restoration in his message to our entire congregation at Church on The Hill! We married each other for the second time the day before his message which he titled Love Never Fails.
So right about now, you may be asking why did they get divorced and remarry?
Well it’s a long story of pain, redemption, recovery, perseverance, and freedom! But mostly what we consider a miracle from God! You may have heard our testimony at a Celebrate Recovery Group meeting in Northern California, but now you get to hear the whole story! You will see that we use the same format as we do when giving our testimony; i.e., we each take turns telling our side of the story.
We will share with you some of the PEARLS or lessons learned
as we walked through our recovery journey holding God’s hand! Here is our story:
Daniel’s Childhood
