About the Author: Cynthia is a native of Westchester County, New York where she still resides nearby to her seven daughters and seven grandchildren. An early childhood educator and friend of young children for more than 20 years, Cynthia has always made story time a centerpiece of her classroom,encouraging children’s imaginations to soar along with their language and discovery of the world around them. Cynthia is excited to share her storytelling with a wider audience with the publication of her first book. About the Illustrator: Melyssa Proctor was born and is based in Westchester, New York. Growing up as an only child, Melyssa had plenty of quiet time to explore and look within, discovering an interest in the arts. The interest to study animation developed,and she received her BA in Visual Arts and New Media from SUNY Fredonia, with a concentration in illustration and animation, minoring in Creative Writing. Melyssa later enrolled in the MFA Computer Art program offered at the School of Visual Arts. In addition to her studies, Melyssa worked for the city of New York as a graphics intern for three years, creating posters and logos at Four World Trade Center for the OCM and Child Support offices.
