The book MY STORY is a brief personal history of a lady who was born into a family with unclear ancestral history. Some bizarre occurrences had reportedly taken place in the family decades before she was born. However, in spite of her ignorance of the circumstances that pre-dated her birth, she was not free from the obstacles of life precipitated by those circumstances.
She suffered some spiritual afflictions as explained in parts of the book and was at some point almost renouncing her belief in God until the Holy Spirit took care of her and set her free from bondage. She tells her story to correct the misconceptions about her and also inspire others who my similarly walk the same path of life.

______About The Author_______ Mrs. Bridget Awunor-Maestrelli hails from Ubulu-Uku in Delta State of Nigeria. She is a graduate of the College of Education, Minna in Niger State. She had her secondary school education at St. Augustine College, Ibusa in Delta State and Esigie Teachers Training College, Abudu in Edo State. Married to Mr. Angiolino Maestrelli; an Italian. Bridget who currently lives with her family in Mantova, Italy is a minister of the gospel with a strong desire to spend the remaining part of her life in the service of God.

INTRODUCTION

O ver the years when I passed through some spiritual turbulence and other life challenges, some persons who knew little or nothing about me had chosen to hold certain perceptions about my personality ostensibly for the wrong reason. I realized even in my moments of spiritual distress and social disconnect that opinions about me were wrongly placed on certain pedestal by people who out of naivety in the knowledge and understanding of occurrences in the spiritual realm were in a haste to draw conclusions.

Honestly, I forgive their lack of knowledge and earnestly pray that they do not find themselves on the same path of life I literarily walked through to get to where the Lord has graciously placed me now. The essence of this book MY STORY is to situate my past life in the proper context for a better understanding of who I am. My inspiration to write the book was driven by inner urge to tell the story of my life as it is, with a view to correcting whatever wrong impression and negative perception some people hold against me. It is a book that reveals the real ME and the divine path the Lord has led me through, with certain lessons to learn on how best to reconstruct the past for a better present and a fulfilling future in the service of the Almighty God by whose grace I am privileged to be alive to tell my story.

FAMILY HISTORY

H istorically, families as social entities have often succeeded one another. Generations come and go via family formation and extinction. A child of yesterday becomes a father of today and together with his wife, a family is formed and over time, they give birth to children who subsequently succeed them and the system goes on like that. Ancestral lineages are formed over time linking one generation to the other.
