()
About this ebook
As our little ones begin to understand the fruits of the Spirit taught in this manual and book series through storytelling, they will also be strengthened and motivated by applying these concepts through games, crafting, memorizing scripture, songs and prayers. Each fruit of the Spirit mentioned in the Bible in the book of Galatians 5:22-23 is featured in this manual which reinforces each of the nine character traits: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Not only will our young generation discover God’s world and His word in this day and age, but the teacher will be blessed to have at their fingertips ideas and ways to bring these concepts to their students in a fun, simple, easy way.

INTRODUCTION
26499.pngWhat a privilege, joy, and great responsibility it is when God calls us into a role to guide and instruct our little ones in a world that offers us so much to learn and to comprehend. In Proverbs 1:7 it says, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
And as you continue to read, you will come across Proverbs 9:10 which states The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
So what better place to begin than the word of God.
Starting with the character traits mentioned in the book of Galatians 5:22-23, this manual reinforces each of the nine character traits: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control, through various means. This manual also accompanies the series of nine children’s storybooks: Leonard the Lion Learns Lessons on Love, Jasper the Jerboa Jumps for Joy, Peppi the Penguin Plans to Pursue Peace, Patty the Panda Ponders Patience, Kimani the Kangaroo Keeps the Key to Kindness, Gabby the Goose Gets a Glimpse of Goodness, Franny the Frog Figures Out Faithfulness, Giotto the Giraffe Generally is Gentle, and Sandy the Sawfish Seeks Self Control, which reinforces the concepts taught in each book.
Chapter by chapter provides the definition of each fruit (found from various sources), along with four scripture memorizations, four songs (which can be found on the internet), four crafts, and four games. I also mention observations to look for in the student while interacting in these games, in which the teacher can better understand each student. Prayers, posters of each character from the book series, and other tips for the classroom, are included to help children discover God’s world and His word every day.
Each character trait can be strengthened and supported by representing one trait continuously throughout the month. For example: If you start using this manual in September the first character trait will be used for the month of September, October you will begin with the next trait of joy, and so forth. It will take approximately nine months
