About this ebook
Kay Lynne Ege
Kay Lynne Obert, Dowell, Kopsack, Ege is a child of the living God through her belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and the Lord of her life. Kay Lynne’s formative years were spent raised in a church-going culture where she recalls God’s involvement minimally in her life experiences. In 1979, at the age of 34, this young mother of three was born-again as a follower of Jesus Christ. She has enthusiastically lived her life as a Christian wife, mother, an advocate for those with dementia, a business owner, mentor, an active member in her church family, friend to those she meets and as she calls it her “crowning glory” – as a grandmother to nine. “I don’t want it to be about me”, she told those who urged her to write a book. “I want it to be about God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit”.

Salutation
Greetings Dear Friends,
The longer I am on this earthly life journey, the more I have come to realize that I wholeheartedly believe what God says in His Word about His plans for me. Jeremiah 29:11 states, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
I am utterly amazed as I look backward through hazy memories at the intricacy of the life mosaic that He has created in the seventy-five plus years of my existence on this earth. I am assured that His work in my life through the countless experiences, interactions, and relationships that He has taken me into and brought me out of are for my well-being and not as a punishment for the self-centered thoughts, self-glorifying words, and self-indulgent deeds from my past and in my present.
You may ask where I receive this assurance. Is it just intuition, a mantra, or a belief that has arisen because I have lived a full life? My answer is none of those. It is because the more I learn about what Jehovah God, the great I AM, the Creator of the universe, says in His Word, the Holy Bible, the more convinced I am that what He says, without equivocation, is absolute truth, and I can stake my life upon it.
I believe that on the cross of Calvary two thousand years ago, God the Son, the sinless Jesus Christ, took upon Himself the wrath of God the Father and died for me in payment for those thoughts, words, and deeds—the sins—I have committed in the past and the present, and those I will commit in the future. I believe Jesus rose from the grave and went back to heaven via the awesome resurrection power of God the Father, where He is preparing for His return to earth. I believe that God the Spirit guides me daily to better understand who He is as I study His Word, pray, praise, and worship Him. I believe one day I will leave this earthly body to join all those who have professed Jesus Christ as their Savior and live on in eternity.
I believe as the musical group Far From Home (FFH) sings,
One of these days I’m going to see the
hands that took the nails for me.
One of these days I am going to hold the
key to the mansion built for me.
One of these days I am going to walk the
streets of gold that were paved for me.
One of these days I am going to see my
savior face to face—one of these days.
I thank God for His work in my life and am so grateful to have the ability to write openly and without hesitation those things that are on my heart to share with you.
It is the ultimate privilege for me to write about how God has created the mosaic of my life. You are about to explore characteristics of God as I have witnessed them, scriptures that He has used to help me on my life journey, and some heart-wrenching, heart-throbbing, and heartfelt experiences He has commissioned to accomplish His plan for my life. I am sharing not because of who I am, but because of the grace and love shown to me by Him all these years.
My prayer is that you will begin to see your life as a mosaic—the collection of experiences, interactions, and relationships that are inlaid by God to form the extraordinarily unique design that is your life. Never mind what age you are right now, what you are experiencing, or what season of life you are in. Your mosaic is in production by God, and He alone knows what the final pattern will look like.

GOD THE ETERNAL
DESIGNER
As an example of God, the Eternal Designer, I am asking you to indulge me for a moment. I would like to explore with you what I found when I researched the word mosaic because it has meaning in both the scientific and art realms. It also confirms to me what King David speaks about in Psalm 139: For you formed my inward parts, you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. … Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book is written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them
(13, 16)
This exploration of mosaic demonstrates to me some of those intricacies of creation discovered by scientists, as well as how artisans have replicated His design model to create works of art. It reveals our genealogy as being quite deliberate. I am including this just as I found it on the reference pages.
MOSAIC AS SCIENCE
Here is what I found on Biology Online (www.biology-online.org).
Definition of mosaic
(1) A pattern consisting of numerous small pieces (or elements) fitted together.
(2) Anything that resembles such a pattern, as in fluid mosaic model of cell membranes. A model conceived by S. J. Singer and Garth Nicolson in 1972 to describe the structural features of biological membranes.
Supplement (an explanation)
The plasma membrane is described to be fluid because of its hydrophobic integral components such as lipids and membrane proteins that move laterally or sideways throughout the membrane. That means the membrane is not solid, but more like a ‘fluid.’ The membrane is depicted as mosaic because like a mosaic that is made up of many different parts the plasma membrane is composed of different kinds of macromolecules, such as integral proteins, peripheral proteins, glycoproteins, phospholipids, glycolipids, and in some cases cholesterol lipoproteins.
According to the model, the plasma membrane is a lipid bilayer (interspersed with proteins). It is so because of its phospholipid component that can fold in itself creating a double layer—or bilayer—when placed in a polar surrounding, like water. This structural feature of the membrane is essential to its functions, such as cellular transport and cell recognition.
Now, I realize this seems to be biological gobbledygook, but I wanted to present to you scientifically what I consider the intricacy by which God created the human body. He created different cells to function together as organs, but each cell is held together by a membrane so that it can complete its microscopic task, whether it is to exchange oxygen for carbon dioxide or to transport nutrients to the different parts of our bodies. I know that is very simply stated, but I am hoping it helps you understand a little better that inside our bodies, there are millions of these miniscule systems, each doing what it was precisely designed to do so that we can have life on this planet.
Despite this knowledge that a fluid
plasma cell membrane is depicted as mosaic because it is made up of all different kinds
