About this ebook

Living in the fast lane isn’t something that happens overnight. It takes years to develop such a lifestyle, and one never stops it on a dime. Living in the fast lane is an acquired lifestyle that opens a person up to all sorts of proclivities. In Life in the Fast Lane, author Lutrell Mungin Greenaway shares what happens when one follows the wrong path.

Through the story of a young man recruited to a gang and challenged to kill a child as initiation, this rendering brings awareness to parents by showing the many things society introduces to children. Citing an array of scriptural examples, Greenaway provides advice for adults on actions they can take to be better informed and how they can be proactive in the defense of evil forces and influences.

Life in the Fast Lane demonstrates that sin knows no age limits and no ethnicity preferences. We shouldn’t feel defeated for we are on the offense because of Jesus. We should take every opportunity to aggressively push this cascade of evilness away from our society.

    Prologue

During this period of my life, things were going on that I had never experienced before: a crisis of multiple dimensions—a viral pandemic. Who would have thought such a great country as America would end up here?

This book will give you a sense of your purpose for being here and tell you how to occupy the time you have. Time is a very precious commodity. What was impressed upon me, with having so much time during this crisis, was the desire to help someone who might be struggling in a time such as this.

I was sitting on my lanai on a beautiful day. The sun was shining brightly, the wind was blowing, and the scent of my jasmine vines relaxed me. As I sat, a thought came to me about how to deal with life.

There are three things that are compared to life in this book: driving a car, an elevator, and a snail.

Let’s take the snail, which God gave me the inspiration to write about. As I sat enjoying a wonderful day, my eyes became fixed upon a baby snail emerging from the shell. I noticed that the snail, before starting out, took all precautions. It sat still, looked, and listened before it took off. Had it not done that, my Jack Russell terrier, Shugg, would have devoured it. Shugg did not see the snail because of the snail’s cleverness.

The snail went a distance and waited. Then I noticed that another snail popped out. The first snail waited for the second snail to catch up. It too, I noticed, took precautions. It was strong. The two got together and went their way just before Shugg noticed.

What remedy do you have for starting out your day? The snail somehow knew to use caution before going out. How much more is accounted to
