FOREWORD
Foreword.jpgT IME – WHAT is time? If the Almighty was here before time began, then it stands to reason that he must be the maker of time and the universe, and therefore, if he wants to control time he can…if he so wishes. It also stands to reason that (God Almighty) is the only divine being that can manipulate time…Fact 1- our lives are so much controlled by the time factor. Time to anytime, to go to bed time, time for the seasons to change, time for tea. The list can go on for a very long time!
Heaven has mislaid or lost a device that can control or manipulate
time. They want it back. An evil sect called the Brotherhood also wants to get their hands on it. Time as we know it is running out fast…..
CHAPTER 1
37622.pngChapter%201.jpgI N THE YEAR of our lord 1222, a band of angels were returning homeward after doing stuff that angels do. Oh no
said one of the angels I’ve lost it
. What have you lost?
said the one in front. My Search Globe
. What! Where! Oh never mind you better report it when we get back home, or we will miss our time slot
.
Meanwhile over in medieval Britain, a lone figure was having a nap in a small boat. It was an early spring morning and Jonathan awoke with a surprise. What’s that!
he shouted. Something had dropped in the water and woke him. He tried to wake up but still felt sleepy. He yawned and stretched out his hands and nearly capsized his boat. He had been fishing all night and had caught nothing, Maybe a big salmon had jumped into his net? He bent forward and grabbed his net and slowly started to pull in his catch. When he got the net in he slowly inspected it. A couple of sea trout, a medium sized salmon, not bad… What’s this? In the bottom was an unusual object. It was round and flat and gold with a small globe in the centre. He decided to head home and see his best friend Amos. Jonathan was really excited to get home, so much so that he dropped his paddle in the water. Butterfingers
, he thought and managed to grab the paddle before it floated away.
Jonathan lived in the swamplands next door to the sea. The village was supported high above the water on oak poles. The villagers were swamp people, or as the mainlanders called them, swampies. On arriving at the village, Jonathan secured his little boat to a pole next to a ladder and grabbing his fishing net with his small catch, headed up the makeshift ladder.
He hurried to his friends Amos’ house, nearly running and stumbled a few times. Jonathan had bumped into his friend Amos about 10 years previously, (quite literally) - their first words to each other were clumsy oaf
and have been best friends ever since. Jonathan banged on the door really hard, Amos you there?
Silence. He banged on the door a second time, Amos get up!
Alright alright
came the answer. Amos answered the door wearing only a smock and he was half asleep. Oh its you Jonathan, you’ve just woken me up from such a beautiful dream, it better be important, I was dreaming I was at a marvellous feast, now I’m feeling rather hungry!
