    About the Artist

    M arlene Moore Alexander is a pioneer, introducing the power of the healing arts into the chaotic realm of healthcare. Her compassionate spirit is present in her paintings and her passion to encourage the vulnerable in hospitals and healthcare facilities to experience true healing through art and creativity.

    Marlene’s experiences outside her own artistic talent, includes 44 years teaching art to young children in Central Oregon and founding the Arts in the Hospital program assisting patients and healthcare professionals in art expression. She now expands this important experience to the hospice setting, creating the Arts in Care program. She served 8 years on the board of the Global Alliance for Arts in Health, which is now NOAH, National Organization for Arts in Health. Currently, Marlene serves as an ambassador with NOAH. Locally she will forever be a beloved advocate for arts in our community. She has impacted hundreds of lives through her dedicated, vivacious presence inspiring us all to bring
