FROM THE EDITOR

arlier this year I had the absolute privilege to do a road trip through the Northern Cape. My mission? To help record the traditional knowledge of the midwives of the Richtersveld for the University of Cape Town’s Khoi and San Centre. Besides being editor, this was the highlight of my professional life. I’m at a loss for words to describe the incredible experience, so please turn to page 54 to read “Die skatkis van wysheid & kulturele tradisies op die platteland”.
