Perseverance and Persistence: Leonard Sandberg’s Biography
()
About this ebook
His life covered the great depression, the atomic era, the industrial revolution and the space age. Nils Patrick Lennart (Leonard) Sandberg displayed the traits of perseverance and persistence in all his contentions to subsist and progress in the New World.
He learned to do his best from his Blacksmith father which he in turn taught his children. He raised his children, Ralph and Marilyn, in Lafayette, Indiana at the Evangelical Covenant Church along with his wife, Helen Swanson Sandberg. He taught and instilled in them fairness, honesty, kindness, trustworthiness, and Christianity. Our father wanted us to be strong, upstanding citizens, but I realize I have a bit of his stubbornness as well.

Acknowledgements
I want to thank my dad for taking the time to tell me some cute stories of his past and for teaching me how to live in a sometimes unruly world.
He and mother were Christian parents who provided a solid, stable home and life-style for my brother and me in which to live.
Through my ups and downs of life my four children gave me reason to continue trying to live that way for them. I have been blessed with a good family and friends that always encourage me to write this story. I am just sorry it’s taken me so long and that I didn’t get it completed before my father passed. Even our Swedish relatives have been encouraging and anxious to read it. Sorry Swedish cousins, I’m not writing it in Swedish.
Thanks to IUniverse for believing in me to write one or two more books. My first was a poetry book called Inspirations from the Heart
, that was published on July 12, 2018.
Fondly, Marilyn Sandberg Grenat
