About this ebook

Ralph's love for teaching the Guitar is evident in many areas. His students love their lessons. There is love in his compositions and teaching techniques. Ralph began the study of Guitar in May 1959. He was an Army Bandsman and a Graduate of Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA and The Navy School of Music, Norfolk, VA. His teaching experience is extensive, having taught at Hochstein School of Music in Rochester, NY for the last thirty-three (33) years. He has also taught at various studios in the Western, NY region and teaches at his home which he shares with his wife, Susan.
Ralph is the author of "Position Primer for Guitar Students", "Almost Everything About Guitar Chords", "Incentive Pieces for Guitar Students", and "The Eclectic Guitarist". He has also recorded two CDs: "Ralph Louis - Anytime, Anywhere" and "Ralph Louis - Out of the Blue".
Ralph has lectured on The History of Music through the Guitar. He is also the recipient of the NYSCA Grant in 1995 and 1998, and the 2010 Faculty Service Award at Hochstein.
