The At-One-Meant Is in Place: The Only Question Is: When Will We Receive It?
Author

Debra Yvonne Simmons

Debra gave us the fictional “Mama’s Christmas Carol, You Got the Power, Mom!”, published by Balboa Press in 2019. Here, the teachings of Jesus helped Dee relinquish the “ghost of her fears and traumas”, through a witness that this life is not “her” story. Debra’s new book, “The At One-Meant IS In Place, The Only Question Is: When Will We Receive It?”, gives a reflective look at just how confusing life can be; along with another way to look at it. Even as she looks “with eyes wide open” at what she sees around her, she finds a place of peace and joy, through eyes of the Atonement. As a little girl, Debra knew Jesus to be her friend, and remembers being given the choice to see the love, or be angry. Her one constant friend, she knew as Jesus. Stumbling along in life, Jesus encouraged her as she developed the ability to hear, and follow, a guiding light within her. Today, she recognizes this as the Holy Spirit. Knowing that God believes in us, Debra insists that the fictional characters in her story, however real they may seem at any given time, are only there to teach her about who she is as a part of the Christ. Egotism is not her goal, nor is bashing; hope and abundance for ALL, is.

    Preface

Before I Knew My Mother’s Eyes

I wrote this before I knew my mother was still living.

Before I had a connection with the world, in a way that I had not known before.

In our time together, which lasted a precious thirty days, I found a place of unconditional love and acceptance.

Eventually I came to accept, not only things as they had been, but choices in the here and now.

This covered choices made by: my mother, those who cared for her the thirty-five years she could not speak for herself due to several strokes, those who made decisions for her, and myself.

That, and what occurred in the rest of my family (that still would meet with me), taught me that I could let go of life as I had thought it was meant to be.

I wrote this originally as non-fiction. However, I do not believe in anything other than fiction today.

I consider the past His Story and the future a non-reality that is as changeable as the past.

I also see everything here as a symbolic message from a loving heavenly Father doing His best to remind me who I truly am.

I am Christ incarnate, as are you. I get a choice, as did Jesus, to put blinders on to the harm we do to one another, or to see it and know that these things testify that this is not who we are.

True Love is not welcome here. It is barely a shadow effect in the space and time illusion.

Those who claim it does, are unknowingly promoting the illusion, instead of bringing about the delivery of the Son of God, and the awakening that is imminent.

The one who is responsible for causing the disruption must be recognized and forgiven for the error, of belief in separation from God.

That one, my friends, would be Jesus.

I believe humanity is here to save him by forgiving him of the story he wrote about right and wrong and a savior on Mt. Zion.

He is not to be crucified for this error, but to be gently lifted off the cross, and shown that no harm was done.

What is not of God and Love is not real, and what is not real cannot be threatened. (ACIM Preface)

For now, compassion and gratitude are significant, in ways that we have not begun to imagine.

The miracle found in the forgiveness, which is the Atonement (as taught by Jesus in the Urtext of A Course In Miracles), is where peace resides.

This book is a combination of illusions and insights that span two and a half years. I could wait to publish it, until it was perfect, but then it would never happen.

I struggle with the audacity that the book has about me possibly having a significant role in helping humanity to see itself, and to smile as they witness of the Love of God upon them.

I struggle with How dare I declare the war has ended in me, and that it can end in you, as well.

I have grandchildren ready and willing to go to war. Will I disgrace them by insisting that war is something that we can and must stop?

Well, that consequence has long since been dealt with since my grandchildren were raised on how crazy their grandmother is.

If they have even been able, to acknowledge me at all.

We are in a war. But the war is psychological. It has been in process since before time began. It does not have to continue. And I declare, in me, it stops.

The war need not be of bloodshed.

It is in the psyche of each individual, and we each get to choose when it ends.

    For end, it will.

The false-minded ego has run amuck and led humanity on so many wild goose chases.

Many have tried to set Christ free over the ages.

But the consciousness of the human race has not been ready for deliverance.

Are they willing to see what stands hidden in plain sight?

It matters not if they are ready; I only know I must speak while I am able.

My role is just that. A role I accepted for a time in the illusion.

If my voice does not deliver humanity, perhaps it will inspire another to find the words that turn on the Light for the masses.

Either way, I am at peace.

    An Introduction

    I Sought to Save Christ

My message is simple. Perhaps, so simple, it may not be easily heard.

You may not see the world the way I do.

You may have those persons, situations, or societal attitudes that you have decided are responsible for bringing the insanity about or encouraging it.

You may be too busy with the day to day necessities of life and fending off the wolf at the door to allow you time to reflect on whether what you are is real or not.

You may not be willing to become aware of the sink-holes in human consciousness that just do not give answers.

I know it can be frightening.

Is it necessary for everyone to do the deep thinking? I am not sure it is. There may be a few that will take us into that place, and the rest will be able to ride on faith in their work.

We will each need to make our own choice, however, between living death and death with abundant life.

The various situations and flesh suits we zipped into when we came to this dense dimension have played their roles well.

They have convinced the Son of God that He is lacking the attention and adoration of a loving parent.

A very wealthy parent at that.

Thus, we have the idea that there is lack of all sorts of things.

Because Christ had diversified Himself, there were many ways to not have enough.

And ways, that some, could seem to have too much.

Along came the superstition that Father only blessed a few.

It was well-thought-out. The delusional mind is good at that. Leaving no room or space to question.

Whether it was spotted goats or realizing the blessings tucked away in their vortex by the challenges they went through; humanity discovered the Covenant of Abraham and abundance was on their side.

    If, they were obedient.

The question stark in the naked light is who decides what is obedience?

The Covenant has been made into another form of separation of haves and have-nots.

In truth, nothing was demanded of Abraham, but his witness of his worthiness, and willingness before God, as His mouthpiece.

His Story, the fabrication, has made it into something else.

His Story, being our past and the false story of how the Son of God separated and stands separate from the Father.

There was no end of things to want, and minds that would create wants, where none had been.

Even as humanity reached its peak and seemed unstoppable; over and over they would allow themselves to be wiped out, because they always thought that the enemy was out there somewhere!

The enemy actually abode inside each and every shell that held the breath of the Son of God.

It was the Guilty Consciousness, formed in His imagination, with the idea that He could usurp the power of God and still, BE.

    ******

Did you see how well they respond to religion?

Ideas and rituals that can be bought for a price to earn one’s way into the good graces of a fabricated god that is vengeful, jealous, and absent.

So many forms over time, that the numbers have been lost to antiquity.

Surely, we would all be willing to deliver the Christ, if we knew that it was in our power!

Hidden behind the ego’s favorite mask of love and benevolence, those that hate serve willingly the less-than’s.

This gives them a temporary fix and a sense of false stability.

So what if they are only there when it is to their advantage.

Those less-than’s should feel lucky they are thought of at all, right?

There is a plan we agreed to before we got here.

The Guilty Consciousness (not to be confused with Christ Consciousness, though both are universal) and our individual ego agreed to this journey prior to our experiencing it in the flesh.

Rosy ideas of things to learn has made it seem like this place of isolation and torture, must surely be wonderful; as we all scream on the inside from the abject horror of it all.

That said, I know that we are not defined by that path.

We can stay in it and accept it as if that is what we are.

And it may seem as if the suffering and death never ends.

But wait; We will prepare a Super Hero to save the day!

And while this concept is only a temporary salve; it does give humanity time to play out scenario after scenario in different forms, and different colors even, that show just how horrible one part of Christ can be to another, part of Christ.

The place of the confused ego is one of lack and decay; of haves and have-nots.

We have so much more power in our lives than we understand.

Our ability to endure and to grow is incredible.

Sadly, our ability to seem to cause ourselves harm is great as well.

There have been tools and clues given throughout the ages.

The astrology chart gives you a sort of map that can show you who you are, and give you ideas for how to use your natural gifts to best fulfill what your heart desires, as well as what some of your challenges may be.

Even this does not define us truly.

It only suggests possibilities, because of this particular life and moment.

Don’t get me started on quantum physics and the concepts of time and space.

Please Note: Time will overlap in the story, as I share a journey I took and have returned from.

Life moves fast sometimes and for me time has begun to warp.

Still, it is fiction, for it is only one perspective of events and its affects.)

And I do mean affects, because a fictional role does something to create a made-up story of trauma.

Where the only thing that has real effect, is the presence and reality of God.

This is true of all current attempts at defining human psychology.

Even when the human psyche has been laid out before us, we do not understand it, because we have not accepted that we have a place in God right here, and right now.

Guilt and shame cloud our vision.

We would gladly say that the Emperor’s New Clothes look dashing, rather than admit what we see, because we are embarrassed and ashamed to be the Son of God that we are.

The length of our fingers and the size of our nose, while giving some identification for understanding the role that we took on, here at this time, does not define who we intrinsically are.

No demographic or circumstance can do this.

Though, we try, to teach our children this.

We teach them that this is acceptable, but that other form is not.

And we, even though not seeing the difference at all or why it should make a difference, go along with whoever’s voice is loudest and largest.

    Even unto bloodshed.

Somewhere the Son got confused, and thought He had offended His Father in the moment of His creation.

I believe it got expressed, specifically, in Jesus, and that is how we got the fabrication, by way of the Plan of Salvation, the Universal Plan in Urtext ACIM.

The confusion of the ego suggests that we are separate.

Whereas the Christ, who knows His connection to the Father via the Holy Spirit, knows we are One.

These things, while known to Jesus, where not understood by his disciples. And have led to much confusion and delay the deliverance from confusion.

I am not even sure that we are individually involved in this, other than being the ambassadors that direct the avatars that Jesus has been given to play out the error, instigated by Christ.

There is a part of us, somewhere within, that knows we are okay.

That part is united to the Holy Spirit, and is prophet and author of the words from God.

Call it intuition, sixth sense, higher power; the name does not matter.

Each of us has this role. It is not isolated, or unique to any type of individual.

What if the real purpose of time and space is to save Jesus, and prove to him that there is no tragedy he can manifest that will separate him or us from Father?

This could be why Jesus commands time and elements; and directs the appropriate use of miracles.

This we individually testify of through forgiveness of the manifested wrongs that seem to be so real at the moment.

We have to see them before we can forgive them, though.

This means that we see the false story and protect outselves while in it, and at the same time forgive it, because we know that only God IS.

To look the other way is not enough.

Following the Holy Spirit will allow humanity to untangle the confusion.

Including the attitude of feeling sinful and worthy of death.

(PS: I am not trying to say that we are not going to die or lay guilt on the dying. I am saying God did not create His Son, so that He could die.)

The amount, or form, of torture has had no end of possibilities.

Love is the power of God, the very essence perhaps.

It is merely in shadow form here, but we can use its variables of compassion, forgiveness, and gratitude to bring light to the world.

We have the opportunity for joy as Children of God, through the witness of the Holy Spirit.

Choices are made every day for the state of mind that we will live in. Let me give an example of what I mean:

While helping an eight-year old darlin’ get ready for school, she got upset with her puppy. He did not show affection exactly the way she wanted him to. She huffed and puffed as she got ready to go out the door.

I told her she had the chance, right then, to decide if she was going to take anger with her into the rest of her day. I pointed out that she could choose love (I wish I would have used the term compassion instead, because that is the step that we, as humans, need to take.) if she wanted to.

And that it would be a gift to herself, because the puppy would be happy come what may.

She had gone clear to the car, and shut the door.

I waited by the front door of her home.

Suddenly, she opened the car door and shouted, Wait, I want to say goodbye!

Hugs and kisses were exchanged between her and her puppy, even putting a special play toy in the kennel for her puppy.

Then this little girl went of to school in a cheerful state.

One where she would walk in peace, and not in grumpiness; stubbing her toe on every nuisance that crossed her path.

She may not carry remembrance of that lesson into every moment of her life.

However, she had been given the gift of knowing how to nurture herself, regardless of what is going on; outside of herself.

Asking the Holy Spirit for help in her daily life will help.

Likewise, we may take the high road, one step at a time.

We can give ourselves the gift of compassion right now.

Even if it is only, your own two arms wrapping around yourself.

If you have no arms, do so mentally.

This is the greatest gift you can give yourself or anybody else; to embrace life with compassion and gratitude that "IS" in the moment.

    Does Anyone Care?

I was worried about going. I mean, I had been suicidal for years, and it would be easy to have an accident in the mountains.

Would my mind play tricks on me and find a way to end this nonsense?

    Then there was the coast.

The weather where I could survive if I just ran away.

It was the stomping grounds of my early years.

I had been told I was not wanted
