Pandemic Survival Manual Inspiring Meditations to Help Us Get Through These Difficult Times: Featuring Words of Healing for Wounded Spirits
()
About this ebook
The right words at the right time can always spark a new hope and outlook for anyone who is being tried by adversity. This book may not stop this pandemic but I believe it can give us a reason to believe that it will be brought to an end soon enough. Just as we have gathered around the camp fire and fireplace in the past while the vigil candle burned in the window, we can gather around the words of this book to draw comfort and encouragement from people who know what it is to be tried by fire without being consumed. This is a small book but the inspiring quotes and mediations in it are big, they can do the soul good like a medicine if we take them with a little a faith in the strength they offer.

DISCLAIMER
I WILL ADMIT AT the start that neither this manual nor a million words by our President or Spiritual leaders will be able to replace the lives and jobs loss due to this pandemic, I firmly believe that it can create bridge builders. People who can unite us all into one unified family that nourishes the beauty in each member. This will create a whole new industry of, Dreamweaver’s, who see the potential in all of us to be more industrious than we have ever been. The objective of this manual is to help each of us to better utilize our unique gifts to make everybody feel welcome to the daily celebration of life. If you want to know the practical application of this manual, know that it is this, to replace despair with hope and to mobilize the stagnant with a new vision of what we can accomplish as one family working to build on all our innate greatness. The main idea and purpose of this manual is none other than to make us not turn our backs to this invisible enemy and run from it, but to instead square our shoulders and meet it with all the fortitude we can muster.
While this book may not create any new jobs or help to restart our economy, it can possibly help those who do have jobs to go back to after this pandemic is over, to do so with more vigor and the commitment to see their job as not just a way to make a living, but also as a way to make a difference. If it inspires one worker to have a sense of gratitude for still having a job, it will be well worth the effort and opportunity I had to write it and offer it as a small token of my own appreciation for all the lives and jobs spared by this pandemic. As important as it is that we return to our normal way of life, we must take advantage of the lessons we have learned from the occurrence of this tragedy to not take our lives, each other or our jobs for granted, and resolve to never again become as complacent as we have been about having a contingency plan in place to deal with tragedies as horrific as this pandemic is proving to be.
Let us never again be caught with our boots off by making sure that we take this pandemic as a sign that we need more unilateral cooperation when it comes to how treat not only the citizens of our own nation and family, but the earth and other people we live on this planet with as well. When it comes to an invisible enemy who cares nothing about our particular politics or religious beliefs, that kills indiscriminately, we must hold ourselves to a higher standard than we have allowed our prejudices and individualism to lower us to; putting profit before people and hate before love, as we fight back.
If you have loss your job or business as a result of this pandemic, you can use this as a golden opportunity for you to discover a new skill set and life mission that takes you to places you have never been and expose you to things you have never experienced had you not been shaken out of your comfort zone by this tragedy, which can in the end make you richer culturally and spiritually, as well as increase your faith in the sufficiency of God’s grace to meet your every need. My advice to us all is, "Never fear an experience or thing that takes you out of your comfort zone, for it is on the other side of fear that all greatest exist. Dare to defy what fear tells you can’t be or can’t happen and you will see that nothing is impossible for the courageous.
In these uncertain and trying times we must dare to be fiercer than the opponent that opposes us and we will come out of this battle bigger, better and stronger than we have ever been.
PREFACE
W E HAVEN’T HAD to bury so many of our loved ones all at once in a long time. Something as tragic as this pandemic should be experienced only once in a lifetime, and that is one time too many.
It has been my experience that at the time of greatest despair a simple word of encouragement can mean the difference between a person giving up or continuing to fight. This book is not just words I have pulled out of thin air without giving thought as to their truthfulness and effectiveness at helping me as I go through this crisis with everyone else. It is my small effort to calm the fears we are all experiencing as we face an invisible enemy that seems intent on killing as many of us as possible.
Sometimes when we are lost in the wilderness and night is approaching, we need some bread crumbs to help us find our way back to safety. I offer this book to the world because I know what it is like to face an uncertain future of death and mayhem. So if I can help one person as we go through these dark days to hang on a little longer by writing and publishing this book, I will consider it worth the effort to find water in a dry land.
I hope that as you read these meditations you will gain strength and faith from them to not surrender your hope to this merciless monster no matter how many of your friends, family and neighbors it devours. If this is not the end that God has planned for us, it will not be the end of us. We will not only survive this pandemic we will thrive from the confidence it has created in us to face new and even more frightening enemies, seen and unseen.
As apparent from the daily news this pandemic is frying our nerves to the point that we are snapping on each other while sheltering in place. As difficult as it may be, we have to maintain our sanity until this crisis is over and
