The Biblical principles on these pages will show you how to break through the barriers that have kept you from the abundant life that Jesus has promised you.

    Introduction

Our God is a God of War, and His desire is to show Himself strong to this very generation. His passion is to reveal to us His ways and to break through the barriers that have kept us fearful and unbelieving. Jesus is our mighty Deliverer and Stronghold in the day of trouble, but millions, even in the Church, have not experienced His delivering power in their lives. Many have tried in their own strength to be freed from chains of addiction, bitterness, fear, perversion, disease, sickness, and a multitude of other strongholds in their lives, but they have not looked up or focused on the only One who can set them free. Their focus has been on doctors, psychiatrists, pills, pleasures, and formulas that can never free them. I remember the words of Jesus in John 5:39–40 (NKJV):

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

Many of God’s people have been attacked and harassed mercilessly by an enemy that has been intent on blocking, and even destroying, their lives in this very hour, and only as we come to Jesus and spend time with Him in the secret place of communion, listening to His voice and receiving His life-giving Spirit, can we be fully delivered and empowered to walk in God’s end-time purposes.

Our God is a Breakthrough God, and what has bound us in the past will now be removed as we stand on His Word and stand our ground on Christ’s victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil. Jesus has purchased our redemption and victory through His agony on the cross and through the power of His resurrection, but we must stand our ground against intense demonic attacks and not allow ourselves to be moved by what we see or feel. God has called us to overcome every obstacle and mountain of difficulty in this hour to prepare us for what lies ahead. God’s hand of judgment is about to be released in an intensity this world has not known, but for God’s people it will be a time of protection and glory as we walk in the truth of Psalm 91. We are being trained to overcome in order to make us spiritually strong, for truly, we are destined for the throne.

Never has there been a time like the one we have just entered into. We have now entered into a new decade according to the Hebrew Calendar: the year 5780. And as you will see on the following pages, this is significant for the children of God. This is a time of full deliverance as we speak the Word of God and His Truth over our lives, our family, and over the nations. This is the decade when what we speak will come to fruition, for it is the decade of the mouth. We will eat the fruit of what we speak, whether words of truth or words of destruction. It is a time of new beginnings and total victory over the enemy and his attacks against our lives and the lives of our loved ones. God is about to show us greater things, the new things that He has in store for this generation. In the past God has shown me that the Book of Acts will seem dull in comparison to what He has in store for this very generation. Wow!

Many do not see the value in their trials and struggles, but as the Apostle Paul puts it:

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

    -2 Corinthians 4:17–18 – NKJV

God’s passion is to reveal His heart to us in a fuller measure and prepare us to bring in the final harvest. The fields are white for harvest, and soon it will be too late for many souls. (See John 4:35.) There is an urgency in this late hour. Jesus is coming soon, and the Church must be fully awakened in order to fulfill God’s end-time purpose on this earth.

The Lord Jesus is looking for those who are willing to abandon all and follow Him, no matter what the cost. He is gathering together His end-time Gideon army, and He will show Himself strong through a company of Believers whose sole purpose is to do the will of the Father. Not many strong or brilliant ones are in this army but a weak and humble people who know that their strength and wisdom comes from God alone. They are leaning hard on their Beloved and are even now coming out of the wilderness wholly dependent on Him for every need in their lives. They are a Company of passionate lovers of Truth who have paid the cost and have gone through fires seven times hotter.

In God’s power and truth we can break through every barrier that has kept us from the fullness of our calling and destiny. This is not an easy path, but a blessed one, for we will find stones of fear and unbelief rolling away as we walk in the power of the Spirit and of Christ’s resurrection.

    Chapter 1

    The God of War

In this very hour God is going to reveal Himself as the God of War and Deliverance to His people. It has been a dark time for many of God’s children, for it has looked as if the enemy has had the upper hand in our lives, families, government, and nation. But we have now entered into the fullness of time when we will see the promises of God come to full fruition in our lives. It is a time of full restoration for many who have been crying out to God for many years. Our God of War is about to move in a power and strength that will astound us. Times of refreshing are right around the corner as our God reveals Himself to this generation as a Mighty Warrior and Restorer of all things. This is the very season that we have now entered into.

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

-Acts 3:19–21 – NKJV, emphasis added

The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is His name.

    -Exodus 15:3 – NKJV

Jesus is a Man of War, and His fiery sword is, even now, extended over our lives and the nations to bring justice to millions. We have been robbed and plundered many times by an enemy that has over-stepped his boundaries. Many have turned back into the world out of discouragement and frustration because of these ongoing attacks. But God is about to revisit His people in ways that will astound us. Our God of War is about to cut back our enemies with one swift movement of His fiery sword, and many will have a burning bush experience. (See Exodus 3:1–6.) I believe this is the time and season when millions of prodigals will come back to the Father as they see His arms opened wide and feel His fiery love and passion for them. God has picked one of the darkest times in history to reveal His mighty arm of deliverance and victory to His people. When all looks dead God comes on the scene to breathe on the dead dry bones of His people. The Church will now hear His war cry as He draws all things together in the power of His Spirit.

That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.

-Ephesians 1:10 – NKJV, emphasis added

I believe with all my heart that we are in the fullness of time and that we will see the Warrior from Heaven move in ways we have never seen or dreamed He would. Many, even in the Church, have seen Jesus only as a meek and mild Savior. They have not known Him as a Man of War, a Mighty Warrior, but only as a gentle God of peace. In the Word we see that God also brings a sword of division:

Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division.

    -Luke 12:51 – NKJV

From the beginning of time God has always been a Mighty Warrior. From Genesis to Revelation we see that God has always battled against those who came against His children and, at times, has even allowed the enemy to take His people into captivity because of their rebellion and idolatry. (See Daniel 1:1–2, 2 Kings 25:1–21.)

The LORD will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies.

    -Isaiah 42:13 – NASB

But the LORD is with me as a mighty, awesome One. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail. They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper. Their everlasting confusion will never be forgotten.

    -Jeremiah 20:11 – NKJV

God will always fight for us as we trust and obey Him in every circumstance. Our God is strong and mighty. Jesus is the giant in our lives, not the enemy. All of our enemies will stumble and fall to the ground as we stand firm in faith and trust the Lord fully and completely in every dire circumstance.

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, Destroy!

    -Deuteronomy 33:27 – NKJV

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.

    -Psalm 138:7 – NKJV

No matter what trouble we find ourselves in, no matter how discouraging our circumstances, our God will stretch out His mighty hand and save us. God is in control of all things, not the devil!

Say to those who are fearful-hearted, Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you.

    -Isaiah 35:4 – NKJV

There are many fearful souls all around us, and we must encourage them and tell them that God will come and deliver them. As we overcome, God will strengthen us to help others in their fiery trials of life. So many are bound with unbelief in His promises and feel as if they are on shaky ground and are on the verge of falling. Let’s remind them of God’s faithfulness and pray for them and encourage them to stand on God’s Word no matter what they are going through.

    Hear God’s word of encouragement:

"I am the God of War, strong and mighty! I am able to deliver you. I am able to free you from those chains and strongholds that feel unbreakable. The devil has lied to you. Close your ears and move forward into your glorious future. The bands that have held you will bind you no longer, for I am coming with a flaming sword to cut through those bars, and I will release you fully.

"You have waited for this day, and now I say: ‘It has arrived!’ Your destiny is awaiting you, and you will walk with your God of War—the One who stands in every battle with you—the One who has promised you full victory over the enemy. As I stood before Joshua so long ago and revealed Myself as the Captain of the Hosts of Heaven, My heavenly army, so now I reveal Myself to you in new and glorious ways. (See Joshua 5:13–14.)

"A fire goes before Me and burns up all of My enemies. (See Psalm 97:3.) So, too, do I burn up all of your enemies and release you now into the fullness of your calling. Rejoice this day, for your day of deliverance has arrived, and now I reveal Myself to you as your Champion, your Deliverer, the One who sets the captive free!

I am the God of War; your Hero in this very hour, and nothing, no one, will rob you again. No devil will bind you as you shout the victory shout, for truly, the battle has already been won through the power of My cross.

The Commander of the Army of the Lord

In Joshua 5:13–15 (NKJV), Jesus reveals Himself to Joshua as the Commander of the army of the Lord:

And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, Are You for us or for our adversaries? So He said, No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, What does my Lord say to His servant? Then the Commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua, Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy. And Joshua did so.

This was not an angel that came to Joshua, for an angel would never have received worship from him. This was our King of kings and Lord of lords who revealed Himself to Joshua as a Man of War. Even as Moses had to remove his sandals in the presence of the Lord in the burning bush so did Joshua remove his sandals off of his feet in the presence of the Lord of Hosts. (See Exodus 3:5.)

Come back, come back, O God, and restore us! You are the Commander of Angel Armies. Let Your beaming face shine upon us with the sunrise rays of glory, and then nothing will be able to stop us!

    -Psalm 80:7 – Passion Version

We have entered into a new season of revelation and glory, and millions upon millions will have the same experience as Joshua did. We will no longer tremble in the face of the enemy, for we will know that our Commander and Chief is with us and goes before us. We will know that we know that He is in control of all things in our lives. Never again will we shake in our boots, for our Captain will make Himself known to us in ways that will cause us to stand awestruck in His presence. Our future is secure in Christ, for our God has already won a full victory over every evil force. It is finished; the victory is complete through the power of His cross and His glorious resurrection. We have His glorious grace, but let’s always remember that it is grace to change, grace to be transformed from the inside out. Grace gives us His strength to stand in the fiercest storm and to follow Jesus wherever He may lead us. Grace was never meant to release us from the Father’s will to do our own thing, but it is grace to surrender all and accomplish God’s will over ours.

Jesus has never known defeat, and He never will, for truly, His Kingdom rules over all! Our God is the Sovereign King of the Universe, and His will shall come forth into the earth as He moves with His might and power to align all things according to His will and purpose. I pray these Scriptures will burn in your heart in this new glorious season.

The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.

    -Psalm 103:19 – NKJV

I know that You can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.

    -Job 42:2 – NASB

For kingship belongs to the Lord, and He rules over the nations.

    -Psalm 22:28 – ESV

Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.

    -Isaiah 46:10 – ESV

But the LORD is with me as a mighty, awesome One. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail. They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper. Their everlasting confusion will never be forgotten.

    -Jeremiah 20:11 – NKJV

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.

    -Revelation 17:14 – NKJV

All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and He does according to His will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay His hand or say to Him, What have You done?

    -Daniel 4:35 – ESV

The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

    -Zephaniah 3:17 – NKJV

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

    -Revelation 19:11–16 – NASB

Jesus – The Yes and Amen!

    Theresa Reyna

You’re the Yes and Amen, Lord – Your promises are true,

We stand upon Your Word – as You make everything new!

We stand now in faith – in the high, stormy gale,

For we know as we trust You – Your Word cannot fail.

You’ve promised us glory – if we stand firm and strong -

All through the night – no matter how long!

Lord, You won’t fail us – we’re willing to wait,

Your Word is the Truth – we’re not given to fate!

We must put down the doubts – and fears in our pain,

We’ll receive these great promises – for our faith’s not in vain.

In Your love we will see – our desires come to pass,

And we’ll shout Halleluiah – for we’ll see You at last!

For You are our Lord – our hearts deepest desire,

You are the One – who lifts us out of the mire!

You’re the Alpha and Omega – the First and the Last,

All is now glorious – gone is our past!

Come now, Lord Jesus – manifest Your glory to us,

For You alone we have waited – and in You is our trust.

Your Word has made us strong – in You we delight,

In the midst of these battles – You’ve won every fight!

Our minds are renewed – in Your Holy Word,

We say Yes and Amen – as we pick up our sword!

We go forth now in power – and cut the enemy down,

No more in great sorrow – no more with a frown!

Great joy fills our heart – in this very hour,

We go forth in Your Spirit – and Your overcoming power!

We’re no longer the tail – but in You we’re the head,

We’ll see now the enemy – at our feet fall as dead!

You’re our conquering Hero – we stand tall in You,

We’re Your remnant, dear Lord – Your chosen few!

You’ve anointed and sealed us – for Your heavenly plans,

To follow Your Spirit – not the ways of man!

We’re established in You – to do Your good will,

Lift us up to the top – of Your Holy Hill!

We vow Lord to walk – in all Your commands,

As You send us forth now – into dark, heathen lands!

Preaching and teaching – as onward we press,

Saying Amen to Your Word – and to You always, YES!

    Standing in the Fire

We are not immune to the attacks of the evil one, and the God of War, at times, will take us through some deep waters. Never has Psalm 18 meant so much to me as it has in these past months of suffering and pain, for
