Who Am I?: Wouldn’t You Like to Know

About this ebook
Who are you? Who do you see?
The truth is what you need to see is the person that God sees. That’s what we will discover together and talk about on your new journey. Changing the image of who you see in the mirror and learning to see yourself as God sees you. Accepting what God says about you and becoming the person He has called you to be. What you need to see is that God’s opinion of you is the only opinion that really counts.
Your true identity doesn’t depend on something you have or haven’t done. Your true identity is who you are in Christ. It’s time to stop allowing people to define you by a truth and to start holding on to the truth of God’s word.

Acknowledgments
I give honor and praise to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for showing me that He loves and values me just like I am and for providing me with the answer to the question Who Am I?
To my husband, Kalor Williams Sr. Thank you for the countless times you reminded me that God put a book inside of me although I delayed writing it for years. You may not know it but every time you said those words, you gave me the encouragement and confidence I needed to write this book (hopefully the first of many). You confirmed what God had already told me so many times. I appreciate that you never stopped speaking it into existence. You are an amazing man of God and I love you!
AND
Since this book originated from a series of lessons that God gave me in February 2018 for the Greater Love Temple Women’s Monday Night Bible Study, I acknowledge all of the women that came to and participated in the Bible study. I appreciate the love, the prayers, and the support that was always given. Through the years each of you did something that helped me by simply giving me a smile, a hug, or a quick word of encouragement. But I must give a special thank you to those of you that spoke life into me when I thought I was not going to make it through this journey—Lonnie Satterfield, Lesa Hood, Mary Bryant, Linda Kemp, Christa Carter, and Betty Johnson. Thank You!

Introduction
Have you ever been in a situation or a dilemma that caused you to question who you are? Has something ever happened to you on the job that caused you to think you were not adequately qualified? Has someone ever rejected you or told you something that made you feel like you were not good enough? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, then you understand that during those times, the enemy (Satan) tries to tell you that you are not worth anything; that you will never be anything; and that no one will ever want you.
This book is written to give you a different perspective of who you are. It is written to tell you how God sees you and what He thinks about you. It is written to let you know how much He loves you. It is written to show you your worth in Christ Jesus.
As I think about my life and all the pain, hurt, physical and emotional abuse, disappointment, and embarrassment that I have been through, I give all praise and honor to God. He became my healer, my strength, and my provider. He became my everything. God gave me the answer to the question that I asked myself every time I was hurt; every time I felt the shame of abuse; every time I allowed someone to speak a negative word to me; every time I allowed something to hinder my destiny. It is the question that may be going through your mind right now. WHO AM I?
My friend, I have to confess that no matter how hard I searched for the answer (and believe me I searched for years), I found that in the end, God was the only one that could answer that question. He taught me that people or things did not have the power or authority to determine who I was because He had already made me into the person I am supposed to be. I just had to learn to believe what He said. Was it hard to reject all the negative thoughts and trust God? Yes, because I had been programmed to believe that we are shaped by our experiences. But I found out it did not matter what my past looked like. God had already determined my future. Don’t get me wrong. My change and my new thought process did not happen overnight. It was not an easy win.
There were many times in my life that I felt like I was on an emotional and spiritual roller coaster. One minute I would be standing up strong on my faith, believing what God said about me. And the very next minute I would be falling down in my feelings, hurt by someone’s opinion of me. On the good days, I had faith to believe that God could do anything I wanted. Then there were those other days that I felt as if He was not doing anything I needed.
It was a battle of my mind and my emotions. I had to fight long and hard. I must tell you that I did not come through that battle unscathed, but I did come through it. So I decided to write this book to tell you that you can make it too! No matter how hard it seems, keep moving forward. Don’t give up, and don’t give in! You can still win!
But before we get started, let me ask you a couple of questions.
When you look in the mirror—Who are you? Who do you see?
Some of you may see a person who has got it going on. You have your life altogether. But some of you may see something completely different. It may be hard for you to look in the mirror because what you see is:
• Someone that is a statistic as a result of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse
• Someone that has been defined by others as a nobody or worthless
• Someone that’s been told they’re too big; they’re too little; they’re too short; they’re too tall; they’re too smart; they’re not smart enough
Although some of these things may be a truth it is not the truth.
Your true identity doesn’t depend on something you
